Clear Spring Road in North Annville Township had been slated to reopen to traffic in May, LebTown reported in April.
As of Monday, June 8, the road had not yet been reopened. However, a schedule shared with LebTown indicated that reopening was imminent pending final inspection.
Line painting and prime coating were among the last steps. LebTown will keep readers updated as the road is reopened.
Clear Spring Road was closed in May 2025 after structural defects were discovered on a bridge over the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks during a biennial inspection.
North Annville Township is responsible for maintaining the road surface, while Norfolk Southern is in charge of the bridge’s superstructure and substructure. The bridge, 71 feet long and 31 feet wide, was built in 1937.
