The Lebanon Valley Conservancy (TLVC) is hosting a golf tournament on Monday, August 31 at Lebanon Country Club. The tournament will be a scramble format and includes a luncheon, games and prizes, and a gift bag. Registration is 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., the luncheon is 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., the shotgun start will be at 12:00 pm, and awards and appetizers will follow around 4:30 p.m. The Hershey Company is the main event sponsor.

This is the fourth year the Conservancy is holding the tournament.

“This event brings the community together to enjoy time on a beautiful course and also support our mission in the Lebanon Valley, including preserving land, planting trees, and supporting local students and environmental education,” said Abigail Harvey, executive director of TLVC. “If you’re unable to join us, you can still support us by visiting our website to make a donation, attending other upcoming events, or joining our volunteer opportunities,” added Harvey.

The golf tournament will be held at Lebanon Country Club, a private, Audubon-certified course. To achieve this certification, the Club focused on wildlife and habitat management, chemical reduction and safety, as well as water conservation and quality.

“We have the preservation piece in common, so it’s a great fit for our event… and golfers who aren’t members have the opportunity to play the private course and get a glimpse of how nature is incorporated,” shared Ron Birch, TLVC treasurer and event chair.

Registration for the golf tournament is currently open and spaces are limited. The cost is $125 per golfer.

“Participants are encouraged to sign up as a foursome, although it’s not required,” noted Birch.

“We still have sponsorships available for any businesses who would like to support our mission and help preserve local land.” Registration and sponsorship information is available on the Lebanon Valley Conservancy’s website, www.TLVC.org, as well as their Facebook event page.
