Bethel Township
Missing person – At 11:11 a.m. July 3, police received a report that a female was missing and could be having a medical emergency.
Burglary – Police are investigating a burglary July 6 on 2nd Street when someone entered a 70-year-old Lebanon man’s garage and applied grease to his bike.
Criminal trespass – At around 4:46 p.m. July 6, police responded to the Lebanon County Livestock Auction’s back parking lot for an unauthorized encampment. Police took a 53-year-old Myerstown man into custody and charged him with trespassing.
Harassment – At 3:26 p.m. July 8, police responded to North Pine Grove Street for a report of harassment involving a 23-year-old Lebanon man.
Criminal mischief $1,000+ – Police are investigating a criminal mischief on July 9 when a 41-year-old Fredericksburg woman noticed her red 2017 Subaru Outback had been keyed. The 41-year-old obtained video surveillance footage and observed a 22-year-old Reading woman causing the damage. Police will charge the 22-year-old with criminal mischief upon receiving the damage estimate.
Harassment – At around 4 p.m. July 10, police responded to Frystown Road for a domestic dispute involving a 38-year-old Fredericksburg woman and a 65-year-old Fredericksburg woman.
Criminal trespass – At 12:42 p.m. July 11, police responded to Blue Mountain Road where, after being served with eviction paperwork and told numerous times not to return to the location, a 39-year-old Fredericksburg man was found trespassing. Police took the man into custody, processed and released him.
Childline referral – At 7:57 a.m. July 14, police received a Childline referral involving a 7-year-old Millheim girl. Police are investigating.
City of Lebanon
Drug possession, careless driving – Police charged Toby Hartranft, 22, with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and careless driving after an accident investigation on March 25.
Arson vehicle – At 1:14 a.m. June 4, an incident occurred on the 300 block of North 10th Street involving a black 2008 BMW 328is and impacting a 71-year-old Lebanon man.
Assault, reckless endangerment – Police charged Juan Guillen, 29, with aggravated assault, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person after a domestic disturbance at around 6:15 p.m. July 2 on the 400 block of New Street.
Drug possession – On July 4, police pulled over a 2003 Chevrolet on Reno Street and observed signs of criminal activity. Police found the passenger, a 39-year-old Pen Argyl woman, had an active NCIC warrant and was in possession of narcotics.
Underage drinking – Officers from the Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, conducted a minor patrol in Lebanon and charged a juvenile with underage drinking at 9 p.m. July 9 in the Fine Wine and Good Spirits parking lot.
Simple assault, terroristic threats – Police charged Noe Lara, 26, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) and terroristic threats after an incident at around 2 a.m. July 13 on the 300 block of North 5th Street.
Simple assault – Police charged Cody Warfield, 20, with simple assault (domestic violence-related) after an incident at around 3:15 a.m. July 14 on the 700 block of Walnut Street.
Obstructing administration of law – Police charged Shawn Smart, 31, with operation of vehicle without inspection, obstructing administration of law, and resisting arrest after a traffic incident at around 6:15 p.m. July 15 on the 400 block of North 7th Street.
False identification to law enforcement, evading arrest or detention on foot – Police charged Amber Moyer, 35, with false identification to law enforcement, evading arrest or detention on foot, escape, and resisting arrest after being taken into custody on an arrest warrant at around 3:15 p.m. July 16 near 7th and Lehman streets.
Cleona Borough
Accidental death – Police are investigating the death of a 66-year-old Cleona woman on July 12 on Chestnut Street.
East Hanover Township
Natural death – At 6:11 a.m. July 1, police determined that a 70-year-old Palmyra man died from natural causes on County Line Road and do not suspect foul play.
Natural death – At 5:37 p.m. July 9, police responded to a natural death of a 64-year-old Jonestown man on Jonestown Road.
Criminal mischief $1,000+ – At 3:14 p.m. July 12, police responded to Jonestown Road for criminal mischief involving a white 2015 GMC Acadia and impacting a 46-year-old Annville man and a 68-year-old Lebanon woman.
Heidelberg Township
Burglary – At around 7:30 a.m. June 9, police responded to the 300 block of Gibble Road after someone entered a residential construction site between around 10 p.m. June 8 and around 7 a.m. June 9 and forced entry into a box trailer, storage shed, and residence where job site tools were stored. The person stole tools worth thousands of dollars, impacting a 47-year-old Lebanon man and a 27-year-old Dover man.
Burglary – At 4:03 a.m. July 13, someone stole a 27-year-old Newmanstown man’s 2019 Yamaha, which was parked inside an unlocked detached garage on Sheep Hill Road with the keys inside the vehicle.
Natural death – At 8:53 p.m. July 13, police responded to a natural death of a 79-year-old Myerstown man on South 5th Avenue.
Firearms Act violation – Police investigated a Firearms Act violation at Darryl’s Gun Shop. A suspect tendered an ATF Form F4473, Firearms Transaction Record to purchase a firearm but was determined to be convicted of a crime that represented a federal prohibitor to the transfer of firearms in Pennsylvania. An investigation determined that the suspect was not aware of the implications of their conviction and did not intend to defraud the ATF. The investigation was closed as unfounded.
Jackson Township
Hit-and-run – At 3:05 p.m. June 12, a crash occurred in the area of East Cumberland and King streets when an unknown vehicle exited the right side of the roadway, struck a mailbox, and left the scene.
Harassment – At around 2 p.m. July 3, police responded to the 00 block of Laurel Drive for a domestic dispute. A 30-year-old Shillington man and a 29-year-old Hamburg woman engaged in a verbal dispute regarding infidelity in their relationship when the dispute escalated. The woman threw a phone at the man and struck him in the face with an open hand. The man responded by shoving the woman in the face with an open hand. Police separated the parties and charged both with harassment.
Criminal mischief under $1,000 – On July 5, police responded to North Goodwill Street for a report of flour being thrown on a white 2015 Chevrolet. This incident impacted a 46-year-old Myerstown man.
Harassment – Police investigated a report of domestic violence against a 4-year-old Myerstown boy after a mandated reporter was advised of an abusive home on the 400 block of Woleber Road. The investigation is ongoing. Lebanon County Children and Youth Services is assisting.
Jonestown Borough
Harassment – At 11:50 a.m. July 12, police responded to South Lancaster Street for a report of a harassment. A 45-year-old Fredericksburg man became irate in the store and told a 22-year-old Tremont employee that he “was going to beat her ass.” Police charged the man with harassment.
Lebanon County Regional
Drug possession – At 4:59 p.m. June 28, police pulled over a vehicle near Jay Street and Ebenezer Road in North Lebanon Township, and found a passenger, Amanda Haldeman, 38, to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Police charged Haldeman with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Public drunkenness – At 2:49 a.m. July 3, police responded to Weavertown Terrace in North Lebanon Township for a verbal domestic dispute. A 31-year-old man fled the scene prior to police arrival but was located nearby. The man was belligerent and under the influence of alcohol. Police charged him with summary public drunkenness.
Retail theft – At 12:55 p.m. July 10, police responded to Walmart in North Lebanon Township for a retail theft in which Carlos Garcia, 65, stole merchandise from the store. Police found Garcia had a prior retail theft conviction, took him into custody, and charged him with misdemeanor retail theft.
Warrant served – At 1:23 a.m. July 12, police made contact with William Rahn, 42, near South 16th and Cumberland streets in North Cornwall Township. Police determined Rahn had an arrest warrant out of the Lebanon County Sheriff’s Department and transported him to Lebanon County Central Booking.
Altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates, drug possession – At 9:22 p.m. July 12, police pulled over a vehicle on the 1500 block of East Cumberland Street in North Lebanon Township for a traffic violation. Police found the driver, Fredrick Yarbough, 35, was in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and knowingly had counterfeit inspection stickers on the vehicle. Police charged Yarbough with misdemeanor altered, forged, or counterfeit documents and plates, misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, summary registration and certificate of title required, summary certificate of inspection required, and summary restrictions on alcoholic beverages.
Attempt to identify – Lebanon County Regional Police is asking the public for assistance in identifying these suspects in relation to a trespass on July 12 in the Weavertown area in North Lebanon Township. Any information can be submitted via CRIMEWATCH or by contacting police at 717-273-8141.
Millcreek Township
Childline referral – At 9:57 a.m. July 2, police received a Childline referral involving a 16-year-old Newmanstown girl and alleging concerning behavior and communications by a man toward the girl. Police are investigating.
Myerstown Borough
Burglary – At 3:30 a.m. July 1, police responded to East Carpenter Avenue for a report of a red 2019 Honda motorcycle at the rear of the residence that had been stolen. The incident impacted a 23-year-old Myerstown man.
False report – At around 12:37 p.m. July 2, police received a phone call from a female who identified herself as “Harper” and reported that she was at a home on the 200 block of East Main Avenue. She reported that a burglary was in progress and an unknown person dressed in black was in her home holding her brother “Alex” hostage at gunpoint. Police responded to the residence and cleared the scene, and a 16-year-old Myerstown girl fled on foot. Police discovered the girl had falsely reported the incident as a prank.
Indecent exposure – At 6:11 p.m. July 2, police received a report of a boy masturbating in front of his younger siblings, a 10-year-old Stevens boy and a 5-year-old Myerstown boy. Police are investigating.
Theft by deception – At 11:29 a.m. July 3, an unknown male subject entered the Main Street Jewelry and Gifts store and purchased jewelry using a fraudulent credit card. This incident impacted a 74-year-old Myerstown man.
DUI – At 9:13 p.m. July 4, police pulled over a 2008 Chevrolet on West Carpenter Avenue for traffic violations and arrested the driver, a 30-year-old Myerstown woman, for DUI.
Theft of a motor vehicle – At 3:18 a.m. July 10, someone stole a 38-year-old Myerstown woman’s white 2014 Nissan Maxima, which was unlocked on West Washington Avenue with the keys inside the vehicle.
Richland Borough
Missing person located – At 9:19 p.m. July 9, police responded to West Main Street for a missing 17-year-old Richland girl, who was located.
Simple trespass – At around 11:23 p.m. July 9, police received a report of trespassing. Police discovered that a 53-year-old Hershey man’s daughter’s boyfriend, an 18-year-old Myerstown man, was on the property after recently being released from jail. There was no interaction between the 53-year-old and 18-year-old, but the boyfriend was seen on security cameras. The daughter denied allowing her boyfriend on the property.
South Lebanon Township
Harassment by prisoner – At 5:47 p.m. May 26, police were notified by Lebanon County Correctional Facility after an inmate threw an item at a 52-year-old Lebanon male corrections officer.
Harassment by prisoner – At 12:16 p.m. June 18, police were notified by LCCF after an inmate damaged property and pushed a 61-year-old Lebanon male corrections officer.
South Londonderry Township
Vehicle accident – At 7:38 p.m. July 9, a 33-year-old Elizabethtown man lost control of his vehicle in the area of Mount Wilson and Cut Off roads due to wet roadway conditions and struck a parked vehicle in a driveway along Mount Wilson Road. No injuries were reported.
Swatara Township
Identity theft – At around 3:15 p.m. July 3, police investigated an identity theft on Quarry Road in which someone opened accounts in a 64-year-old Lebanon man’s name using his Social Security number. Northwest Bank accepted a fraud report from the man and opened an investigation.
Terroristic threats – At 3:19 p.m. July 8, police investigated an incident in which someone contacted a 57-year-old Lebanon man from a blocked number and made threats to come to their home on Route 72 North to harm them. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft – At 2:42 p.m. July 9, a 61-year-old Lebanon man reported the theft of a $1,700 check.
Theft items from a motor vehicle – At around 10:10 p.m. July 12, police responded to Cindy Drive for a report of a theft from a motor vehicle. They discovered that someone accessed a 25-year-old Jonestown man’s maroon 2023 Dodge Durango and stole a handgun.
Union Township
DUI, resisting arrest – At around 10:07 p.m. July 10, police responded to the 500 block of Old Forge Road for a report of an unruly trucker, Darius Branch, 35, who was emitting a strong smell of alcohol. Police made contact with Branch, took him into custody for DUI, and charged him with resisting arrest.
Theft disposition of funds – At 6:33 p.m. July 11, police responded to Route 72 after a 33-year-old Jonestown woman said someone stole her card information and made over $1,350 in purchases.
Western Lebanon County Regional
Suspect identified – At around 9 a.m. July 1, it was reported to police that a theft was committed at the Annville Laundromat in Annville. After posting a still shot of the suspect to CRIMEWATCH, the community assisted in identifying the suspect as Shawn Kline, 35. Kline turned himself in to police, was transported to LCCB for arraignment, and was released on $1,000 unsecured bail.
Theft by unlawful taking, access device fraud, tampering with evidence – On July 13, police charged Cheyenne Shafer, 25, with felony theft by unlawful taking, felony access device fraud, and misdemeanor tampering with evidence through MDJ Warner’s office. Charges stem from an investigation into a report received March 18 in which Shafer was accused of stealing funds from Palmyra American Legion.
