The America 250 celebration at the Expo Center and the Union Pacific 4014 Big Boy whistle stop were not the only significant things happening in Lebanon County with the arrival of July.
Lebanon Transit also launched its brand-new Route 14, a fixed bus route servicing Myerstown Borough and connecting to the Berks Area Regional Transportation Authority (BARTA) Park & Ride located in Womelsdorf.
“When you expand access to public transportation, you expand access to opportunity – connecting people to jobs, housing, doctors, friends and family, shopping and entertainment. Opportunity only matters if you have a way to get there, and Lebanon Transit is another way to help ELCO residents get to where they need and want to go,” said Angela Luciotti, Lebanon Transit executive director.
Key destinations along Route 14 include the Lebanon Walmart, MHP Industries, StoneRidge, Tulpehocken Terrace, Myerstown Borough Hall, and Dutch-way and the new Jubilee store.
Route 14 operates as flag stop. Flag Stop service allows passengers to board or exit a bus at any safe, non-designated point along the route by signaling the driver. The bus schedule can be found at https://lebanontransit.org/route/route14/
Regular fare to and from Womelsdorf is $2.50. Regular fare between Lebanon and Dutch-way (Route 14C) is $2.25.
