The North Cornwall Township Board of Supervisors approved several waivers for the next phases of the Heritage Run land development plan at an Aug. 4 meeting.
Located off Oak Street, Heritage Run is a private 55+ community developed by Woodland Contractors and set to have 88 homes upon completion.
Josh Weaber of Chrisland Engineering presented 11 waivers, all of which were approved by supervisors following discussion. Waivers pertained to preliminary plan approval, water service, sewer service, snow plowing, streets remaining private, not installing curbs on private streets, installing sidewalks on one side as opposed to both sides, forgoing driveway apron installations, and calculation methodology.
Weaber also presented updated streetlight plans for preliminary feedback. Chairman Mike Wahmann voiced apprehension about the proposed layout not fitting the township’s streetlight ordinance, along with ongoing streetlight shielding shortfalls in the plan. Vice chairman William Yeagley stated concerns about residents moving into surrounding pockets of land in the future and not having sufficient lighting.
Supervisors also approved a Heritage Run land development time extension through Nov. 11.
