Lebanon County’s fourth Sheetz store opens to the public at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at 2409 Long Lane, the company announced.
The store sits at the intersection of Long Lane and state Route 72 in North Lebanon Township, where supervisors approved a land development plan for the 6,139-square-foot store and 12 gas pumps in July 2025. The location is the Altoona-based chain’s first in the county with a drive-through.
A grand opening celebration is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. outside the store, with representatives from local nonprofits and elected officials expected to attend, according to the company. Giveaways will include $250 in Sheetz gift cards and a “Free Sheetz for a Year” grand prize, a $2,500 gift card. No purchase is necessary to win, but entrants must be 18 or older and present to win.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 10:45 a.m. Free self-serve coffee and soda will be offered throughout the day.
Sheetz will present $2,500 donations to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, which serves 27 counties, and to Special Olympics Pennsylvania during the event. Customers who bring a nonperishable food item for the food bank between 9 and 11 a.m. will receive Sheetz merchandise, limit one per customer while supplies last.
The store will employ about 30 people, according to the company. It will feature indoor and outdoor seating, expanded grocery options, touch-free restrooms, and free Wi-Fi and air, along with the chain’s made-to-order menu.
Sheetz, founded in Altoona in 1952, operates more than 830 stores in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia, including more than 315 in Pennsylvania. All are open 24 hours a day, year-round.
The company’s other Lebanon County stores are on Rocherty Road and West Cumberland Street in North Cornwall Township and on East Main Street in Palmyra. The West Cumberland Street store opened in February 2024.
