ELCO doesn’t pass sex-based facility-usage policy, hears report on next budget
The motion for the policy’s final approval failed after the board approved the first reading at the January meeting. This policy would have required students to use the multi-user facilities that align with their sex assigned at birth.
ELCO board splits vote for first reading of a sex-based facility-usage policy
The board voted 5-4 to approve the first reading of the policy. The members that voted against it raised concerns with going against their legal counsel’s advice of waiting until Supreme Court decisions are released.
