Alfred Vernon “Al” Winn, 83, of Lebanon, PA, passed away on July 19, 2026. Born in Tacoma, WA, he was the son of the late Alfred Sr. and Helen (Corey) Winn. He was married 60 years to his beloved wife, Anita (Werner) Winn.
Al was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam era. He obtained his doctorate in political science and sociology, and worked as a professor at Millersville University, Clarion University, and Western New England University. More recently, Al worked for the Lebanon Daily News and Patriot News as a reporter, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Al visited all 50 states and Canadian provinces and liked to hike at the national parks. He was also fond of photography, genealogy, and reading, and was a member of a local book club.
In addition to Anita, Al is survived by his sons, David and Jon; brother, Ken; and many beloved cousins.
There will be no services per Al’s request.
