Bernard W. Webber, 88, of Lebanon, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Cedar Haven Healthcare Center.
Born in Schaefferstown, PA, on Aug. 25, 1937, he was the son of the late Lee Calvin and Mae Isabella (Schucker) Webber.
A 1955 graduate of Myerstown High School, Bernard was also a 1957 graduate of the automobile sales and management program at General Motors Institute in Flint, MI. After completing his education, he served in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. He began his career in the automobile business at Webber Chevrolet by sweeping the showroom for a nickel an hour before school when he was in third grade. He then went on to build a career selling automobiles that spanned more than 50 years.
Bernard was a member of Myerstown UCC, Myerstown Lions Club, Myerstown Jaycees, Lebanon Ski Club, Kick and Gliders of Harrisburg, and several running clubs.
Bernard had a lifelong passion for running, cycling, and cross-country skiing. He completed over 40 marathons, including the Boston Marathon and the New York City Marathon, biked across the country from Los Angeles to Boston in support of the Lebanon YMCA, and skied the entire length of Vermont’s Catamount Trail. One of his favorite places was the Black Forest area of Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed spending time hiking and cross-country skiing while visiting his cousin, Robert Webber. Above all, Bernard was a devoted father who was always willing to help his daughters whenever they needed him. His adventurous spirit and love for his family will be remembered.
Bernard is survived by his daughters, Carolyn Webber, of Los Angeles, CA, Roslyn Webber, and her partner, Sharon Salembier, of Troy, NY, Jacquelyn Valencia, and her husband, José Valente, of Los Angeles, CA, and Jocelyn Ross, and her husband, Randall, of Cresco, PA; and their mother, Evelyn (Mabry) Webber, of Myerstown. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicolas Valencia, Vivian Ross, Margaret Webber, Jefferson Ross, Luciana Valencia, and Gabriel Valencia; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Whitten; and brother, George Webber.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Grose Funeral Home Inc., 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, PA. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
