Bernice B. (Peffley) Mease, 94, passed away on July 18, 2026, at the Myerstown Nursing and Rehab Center. Bernice was the daughter of Mildred Mae (Mease) Peffley and Harvey A. Peffley, of Lebanon, PA. She was born on Sept. 19, 1931, in Lebanon, PA, and resided in West Lebanon Township with her parents. She was married to the late James C. Mease, of Lebanon, PA, for 50 years.

Bernice is survived by her daughters, Brenda L. (Mease) Milovich (married to Edwin Milovich), of Lebanon, PA, and Melanie A. (Mease) Himmelberger (married to Timothy Himmelberger), of Lebanon, PA; grandchildren, Faith E. (Himmelberger) Williams (married to Jason Williams), of Lebanon, PA, and Joshua A. Himmelberger, of Lebanon, PA; and great-grandchildren, Luke Williams, of Lebanon, PA, Jack Williams, of Lebanon, PA, and Mark Williams, of Lebanon, PA. Bernice was a member of the former St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in West Lebanon Township.

Bernice was a 1949 graduate of Lebanon Senior High School, where she played clarinet in the high school band and was a member of the girls’ basketball team. Her life’s passion was music, and she played the piano and organ. She was church organist at Kochenderfer’s United Methodist Church for over 61 years. Bernice was also the West Lebanon Township Secretary for 29 years. She retired from Foodland Grocery Store in Lebanon, where she worked in the office. In her early years, she was employed at Harpel’s Photography in Lebanon, PA.

Bernice and her husband enjoyed traveling on bus trips throughout the United States with many friends and attending many dinner theaters. They both enjoyed music, especially gospel and country music concerts. They enjoyed spending time with many church friends and going out to dinner. Bernice also enjoyed her monthly card club. She resided in her home at The Aspens Community in Lebanon, PA.

A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville, PA 17003. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Grand View Memorial Park.
