Bruce Leo Troxell, 92, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026, at his residence in Cleona, PA. He is survived by his loving wife, Betty J. (Zimmerman) Troxell, with whom he would have celebrated 74 years of marriage this year on Nov. 15.

Born in Lebanon, PA, on June 12, 1933, his family later moved to Hershey, PA, where he grew up and graduated from Hershey High School. Bruce was the son of the late Paul and Rose (Plasterer) Troxell. He spoke fondly of them, proudly talking about their work ethic, a work ethic he would later instill in all of his children. He passed on his wisdom to each one of them and their families during his lifetime.

Bruce was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving as a sonar operator on the USS Latimer. After his service, he began a long career working for the federal government as an inspector as part of quality control.

Bruce loved watching Penn State football, second only to his love of traveling with family. One of his fondest memories, he often talked about, was meeting Milton Hershey at 12 years old while caddying at the Hershey Country Club.

In addition to his wife, Bruce is survived by his children, Karen L. Lintner, wife of Guy Lintner, of Lebanon, Steven A. Troxell, husband of Carla Troxell, of Lebanon, Gary B. Troxell, husband of Judy Troxell, of Lebanon, and Carol L. Troxell, wife of Nick Loftus, of Hershey; grandchildren, Rebecca, wife of Phil, Daniel, husband of Jess, David, husband of Crystal, Jennifer, wife of Andy, Thomas, husband of Courtney, Joshua, husband of Megan, and Jacob; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Gracie, Blake, Samuel, and Shelby. Bruce was preceded in death by his siblings, Paul Troxell, Donald Troxell, and Joanne Williams.
