This is a three-day gourd-focused art show and gathering with an exhibit of gourd art, hands-on workshops (daytime sessions and some evening sessions), demonstrations, and the sale of gourds, tools, supplies, and finished pieces. Expect a mix of watching, learning, and browsing different gourd art techniques in action throughout the event.
Blue Eyed Six Tour at Lebanon Farmers Market

Journey through history and experience the original jail structure that housed the Blue Eyed Six after the world-famous local murder. Tours are by appointment only. Must call ahead to book. Call 717-274-3663.
The long and varied history of this location precedes even the construction of the Market House in 1892. This was the site of the former Lebanon County Jail, which will forever be connected with the story of the Blue Eyed Six.
In the 1870s, the small town of Lebanon made national news with the infamous murder case of the Blue Eyed Six. This famous trial lasted for nearly six months and ended with the courtyard hanging of five of the Blue Eyed Six on this very property. A fire destroyed the structure just a few years later.
Bear Hole Trail Drive-Thru at Swatara State Park

Come explore the Bear Hole Trail by car! This program is facilitated on Friday and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The self-guided drive-thru begins at Swopes Valley Trailhead (40.522343,-76.469334) and goes five miles through the center of the park, letting out at the Waterville Bridge (40.480822, -76.531559). There are four designated parking areas at the fossil pit, Daubert School, charcoal pit, and near Bordner Cabin, so you can get out and explore. The speed limit is 10 mph, and all traffic is one way. Last entrance is at 2:30 p.m.

Susanna Wright: Polymath Patriot at Hall of Philosophy
10-11 a.m., Friday, June 12 | 212 Gettysburg Ave., Mount Gretna
Elizabeth Dillion will showcase Susanna Wright’s mastery in language, reading, science, and the human spirit through her letters and poetry. In her surviving poems, we see Susanna Wright’s Quaker faith played no small part in her understanding of the equality of men and women. Her most famous poem, “To Eliza Norris at Fairhill,” further asserts her belief in the importance of self-realization and that “no right has man his equal to control.” In her letters, we see her connections and friendship with important figures like Charles Thomson, James Logan, Hannah Griffitts, and Benjamin Franklin.
Susanna Wright was highly regarded and respected by all who met her. She was a remarkable woman of learning and wit, who also took action when she felt it was needed. This talk will be both a history of this illustrious figure and an argument for her importance in the history of Pennsylvania. Donations are appreciated.

Smithing isn’t all iron and steel. At Drunken Smithy, we work with soft metals, too! Join us for an introduction to the art of metalworking by creating your own everlasting bloom in our flower crafting workshop, featuring a different flower every month. You’ll learn to design, cut, texture, and build your own copper flower with the freedom to customize your work along the way. For this workshop, students will work with copper and learn to make one peony.
The workshop will take place regardless of the number of spots sold. No minimum number of participants is required. All experience levels are welcome. Instructors will help as much or as little as you’d like. All raw materials, tools, gloves, and safety glasses will be provided. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes or boots.

Leather Roses Workshop at Drunken Smithy

Craft a bouquet that lasts forever! Join our leathersmiths as you learn to cut, shape, and form leather into elegant petals and leaves. You’ll create three handcrafted leather roses, learning techniques for coloring, assembling, and finishing your flowers so they’re ready to display or gift. This is perfect for beginners and anyone who loves unique handmade creations.
For this workshop, students will learn to make three leather roses on wire stems. Each workshop is a one-time, intensive, hands-on course, and each participant can make one leather leaf pouch. The workshop will take place regardless of the number of tickets sold. No minimum number of participants is required. All experience levels are welcome. Instructors will help as much or as little as you’d like. This workshop is designed for adults and older teens. All raw materials, safety equipment, and tools will be provided. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes or boots.

In addition to that of a museum, the Myerstown Area Heritage Center and Museum has as its mission to become a gathering place for local events that recognize and continue Myerstown Borough and Jackson Township traditions. Fifth Annual Sevco 3v3 JAMfest Basketball Tournament at South Sixth Street Playground

The South Sixth Street Playground Association is proud to announce the return of the fifth annual Joseph P. Sevco Jr. Basketball Program, scheduled for July 16-17. This community-focused two-day hoopfest features a free youth basketball camp followed by the high-energy 3v3 JAMfest tournament under the lights of the Sevco Basketball Courts.
The festivities begin on Thursday, July 16, with the first day of the Sevco Youth Basketball Camp running from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The camp is open to boys and girls in 3rd through 8th grades. Registration is free and includes a complimentary t-shirt and daily lunches.
On Thursday, July 16, the evening transforms into the Sevco 3v3 JAMfest Tournament. Team check-in begins at 5:30 p.m., with games tipping off at 6 p.m. The event will feature multiple age brackets, free-throw competitions, a live DJ, and local food trucks.
The youth camp concludes with a second session on Friday, July 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“These events continue the legacy of Joseph P. Sevco Jr. by providing a safe, positive environment for Lebanon’s youth to build skills and community,” said Sharon Zook, Playground Director.
Interested participants can register online via the South Sixth Street Playground Registration Portal. Spots are limited and typically fill quickly.
Suicide Loss Support Group at Compeer Office

The Lebanon County Suicide Prevention Task Force, in partnership with Empower the Mind and Compeer, hosts a free Suicide Loss Support Group each month. The event is held on the third Thursday of each month from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Compeer Office at 519 Chestnut St., Lebanon. This group offers a safe space for healing and is open to anyone 14 years or older.
Suicide loss is a different type of grief that can be isolating and confusing. You are not alone. Join us to be heard and understood.
