Carol H. Batdorff, 89, of Myerstown, PA, died on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon, PA. She was the wife of Theodore F. Batdorff, who died on Sept. 14, 2025, to whom she was married for 70 years.

Born in Myerstown, PA, on Jan. 13, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Pearl E. (Derr) Hollinger. A 1954 graduate of Myerstown High School, Carol was a member of Myerstown UCC. She was employed as a secretary at Eisenhauer Nissan and retired after 20 years. Carol also worked as a secretary for Shenk Associates and Myerstown Bank and Trust. She was President of the Myerstown Junior Woman’s Club, was a member of the Myerstown UCC Choir for almost 70 years, and enjoyed knitting, reading, and spending time with family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Suzanne, wife of William Upton, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Morgan, wife of Steven Rhoades, and Matthew Berger; great-grandsons, Carter Rhoades and Conrad Rhoades; sister, Winifred Youse; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her nephew, Dr. Bradley Youse.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, PA, preceded by a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be private.
