Catherine B. “Cathy” Hartzell, 88, of Pine Grove, and formerly of Jonestown, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the Lebanon Valley Home, Annville. She was the wife of the late Stanley E. Hartzell, and they celebrated 65 years of marriage.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, on Nov. 7, 1937, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Spearman) Fedosh. Cathy worked in the banking industry in New Jersey and at JBT for 30 years. Following her time at JBT, she worked part-time at LVC in dining services. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Chapel in Jonestown and a member of the American Bankers Association. For nearly 50 years, she was a member and served as the treasurer of the Water Works Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered at the Pine Grove Food Pantry and LCCM noon meals. Cathy enjoyed painting, doing crafts, crocheting, going to the beach, watching football, and playing bingo. She especially loved to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For over 40 years, she made Christmas ornaments for each of her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, David J., and his wife, Fay Hartzell, of Port Matilda, Daniel S., and his wife, Nancy Hartzell, of Annville, and Joseph S., and his wife, Shirley Hartzell, of New Berlin; daughter, Susan E., wife of John Breidenstine, of Schuylkill Haven; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Fedosh; and sisters, Mary Jann and Ann Veltre.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, Route 22 and North Mill Street, Jonestown. There will be a visitation on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Jonestown. If you are able to attend Cathy’s services, her wish would be that you wear your favorite color of blue. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
