Earl F. Hollinger Jr., 81, passed away on July 5, 2026, at The Lebanon Valley Home in Annville, PA.

Earl Hollinger was born on May 11, 1945, in Hershey, PA, to Earl F. Hollinger Sr. and Celesta Hollinger, née Snavely. After he graduated from high school, Earl worked in several interesting fields, including one of his first jobs as a steelworker with the iconic Bethlehem Steel. Earl also had his own business at Hollinger’s Garage, and later provided trailer painting for various non-governmental organizations, and eventually settled into his final career as a warehouse worker for Warner Lambert/Pfizer.

Earl married Sylvia Swinesburg, and the couple had one child: Trudy Heisey, of Richland. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Earl was a kind, patient, caring, and loving person, sure to bring happiness and smiles to anyone. Earl was best known as a family man who loved spending time with his kin and friends.

Earl had an appreciation for cars, especially the classic styles, and he both watched and participated in drag racing. Earl also enjoyed bowling and a good game of cards — life’s simple pleasures. A man who found the great outdoors to be a source of relaxation and restoration, Earl often camped locally, and he was active with area camping clubs. Other memberships included the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Lebanon’s own Maennerchor Club. Earl proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1966.

Earl is survived by his wife, Sylvia Hollinger; daughter, Trudy (David) Heisey; siblings, William (Rita) Hollinger, Andrea (Ron) Stevens, Austin Koppenhaver, and Ronald Hollinger; grandchildren, Tyler (Casey) Heisey, Tabitha Heisey, and Travis Heisey; great-grandchildren, Gabriella Heisey, Ayven Thompson, Adalynn Thompson, and Amelia Vance; and several nieces and nephews.
