Edna O. (Horst) Shirk, 85, of Newmanstown, PA, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at home.
She was born in Lancaster, PA, on Feb. 14, 1941, a daughter of the late Michael H. and Mary N. (Oberholtzer) Horst. Edna was the wife of Daniel B. Shirk. She was a member of the Millbach Mennonite Church (Weaverland Conference).
Edna is survived by her husband, Daniel; and children, Susan H., wife of Jay Clair Sensenig, of Denver, PA, Wilma H., wife of Lewis B. Weaver, of Fleetwood, PA, Michael H., husband of Joann M. (Stauffer) Shirk, of Myerstown, PA, Maynard H., husband of Joann L. (Horst) Shirk, of Myerstown, PA, Rhoda H., wife of Nelson L. Leid, of Lebanon, PA, Sylvia H., wife of Duane W. Leinbach, of Narvon, PA, Nancy H., wife of Leroy E. Leid, of Lebanon, PA, Aaron H., husband of Kathryn M. (Martin) Shirk, of Landisburg, PA, Mary H., wife of Ernest Z. Horning, of Lebanon, PA, and George H., husband of Diane S. (Weiler) Shirk, of Newmanstown, PA; 85 grandchildren; and 76 great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at the Fairview Reception Center, 141 Jackson Road, Lebanon, PA 17042. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., at Millbach Mennonite Church, 3 N. Millbach Road, Newmanstown, 17073. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
