Enrique Figueroa Quiñones, 60, of Bronx, NY, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at his home.

Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on January 29, 1960, he was the son of the late Isidoro Figueroa and Nery Quiñones. Enrique was an Emergency Medical Technician. He had his Master’s of Science in Education. He was involved in the mentor teacher internship program. He taught biology, math, and adult basic education, and he taught in the high school. He loved the martial arts and was awarded a black belt in karate. He was always helping others and anyone in need. He was a calm, well-liked man and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his sons, Eliou Enrique Figueroa Carrion, Henry Figueroa, Linden Figueroa, and Justo Enrique Figueroa Carrion; daughter Emis Darilys, wife of Michael Bender; stepchildren Luzida Ramos and Jonathan Ramos; brothers Carlos Figueroa and Antonio “Toño” Figueroa; sisters Gladys Brown, Carmen Figueroa, Maria Figueroa and Milagro Figueroa; and nine grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020, from 10:00 p.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt. 72 & Camp Meeting Rd., Jonestown.
