Greg R. Sands, 64, of Womelsdorf, PA, died on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading. He was the husband of Judith A. “Judy” (Haldeman) Sands, to whom he would have been married for 18 years on Oct. 18.

Born in Pasadena, CA, on May 12, 1962, he was a son of the late William and Bebe (Drumheller) Sands. Greg was employed as a construction worker for about 17 years. He enjoyed flying remote-controlled airplanes, grilling and cooking, and collecting trains. He loved spending time with his dogs, Finley and Macy.

In addition to his wife, Greg is survived by his daughter, Katie, wife of Nick Scalise; sons, Christopher, husband of Desiree Sands, and Greg Sands; stepdaughters, Michelle, wife of Steven Bucks, and Holly McMichael, companion of Jason Wealand; stepson, Jeremy, husband of Tiffani Smith-McMichael; sisters, Karen, wife of Randy Root, and Pamela Hudson; brother, Keith, husband of Vicki Sands; grandchildren; nieces; and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Sean Garcia.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026, at 11 a.m., at Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, preceded by a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Inurnment will be private.
