Jacqueline Kling Kreider of Alcoa, Tennessee, passed away on July 30, 2022, of complications of acute renal failure at the age of 87.
She was born in North Annville Township to the late Earl and Elizabeth Kling.
She graduated in 1952 from Lebanon High School, Lebanon, Pennsylvania, and Hood College, Frederick, Maryland, in 1956. She was employed in Chattanooga by JC Penney for 24 years. In Alcoa, she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she was active in various hospitality ministries.
Predeceased by brother Cleon Earl and wife Marion Kling, she is survived by her husband of 66 years, Edwin Ulrich Kreider, and children Kathleen and Bryan Thompson of Alcoa, Tennessee; Diana Kreider of Chattanooga, Tennessee; David and Rebecca Kreider of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Tracey Sanderson of Hamilton, Canada. She has nine grandchildren: Ira and wife Giau, Benton, Samuel and wife Katie Thompson; Alanna, Colten, and Samantha Sanderson; Joseph, Sarah, and Michael Kreider; and one great-grandson, James Edwin Thompson. Other survivors include niece Suzanne Lurie and nephew Jeffrey, and wife Susie Kling.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, August 6, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Maryville, Tennessee. Interment will be at Mount Annville Cemetery, Pennsylvania.
