James S. “Jimmy” Light, 85, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026. He was the husband of Gasena M. (Hock) Light. On Oct. 10, they celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary.

Born in Lebanon on June 15, 1940, he was the son of the late Daniel B. and Margaret R. (Hanley) Light. James was a retired dairy farmer. Following his retirement, he built two-layer houses. He enjoyed his farming days, cruising, and doing road trips with his wife.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Joyce M., wife of Jay Bachman, of Jonestown, and Nancy R., wife of Doug Dresch, of Lebanon; grandchildren, Elaine, Erin, Alicia, Doug, Travis, John, and Katie; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila M., wife of the late Barry Donmoyer; brother, Daniel Light; and sister, Alice Martin.

At Jimmy’s request, there will be no services.
