Marija J. “Mary” Dengler, 76, of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026, at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of the late Dennis A. Dengler.
Born in Croatia on Jan. 7, 1950, Mary was a daughter of the late Josip and Dragica Juretic. She came to live with her aunt in America at the age of 16 and became a hairstylist, serving the Lebanon County community for over 50 years. She made fast friends with her co-workers and many of her clients. Mary loved to cook from scratch and had her family over every Tuesday evening for many years when her niece and nephew were growing up. Her meals were amazing, and she was often told she could open her own restaurant.
Mary is survived by her brother, Mato Juretic, husband of Sharon; two nephews; and three nieces.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at St. Mary’s Church, 2 N. 8th St., Lebanon, PA 17046. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to Mass from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
