Richard Robert Yeagley, 73, of Emmaus, PA died Monday, October 4, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. He was the loving husband of Paulette Yeagley and celebrated their 24th anniversary this past April.
Born in Annville, PA he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Yeagley of Annville, PA. Richard worked as a ride mechanic for the Coal Cracker at Hershey Park for 34 years, retiring in 2005. Later, he worked as a ride inspector for the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. He cared deeply about his family, enjoyed watching the Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers, and loved to talk to everyone! When he was not relaxing in his recliner at home, he was enjoying time with his wife and family at their camper.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by a daughter, Sharon Songer, wife of Brian of Palmyra, a son, Jeff Yeagley, husband of Debbie of Annville, a daughter, Dawn Bast, wife of Frank of Emmaus, a son, Ricky Snyder and significant other Melissa Tutko of McAdoo, two brothers, Charles Yeagley, Jr., husband of Sandy of Annville, Dennis Yeagley, husband of Simon Marshall of Dillsburg, a sister, Nancy Yeagley Zerbe of Bethany Beach, DE, ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Nicole Miller.
A public viewing will be held on Friday, October 8, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Kreamer Funeral Home and Crematory, 618 East Main Street Annville, PA 17003. A graveside service will be held at Salem Evangelical Cemetery following the viewing.
