Thressa J. Walker, 79, of Jonestown, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at her home. She was the wife of Dale A. Walker. On Oct. 28, they would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary.
Born in Bellefonte on Feb. 15, 1947, she was the daughter of the late John and Mildred (Tubridy) Summers. Thressa enjoyed crocheting, being on her iPad, working in the yard, gardening, and especially taking their camper to the Centre County Grange Fair. Everyone knew her as Nanny Walker, and she will be greatly missed.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Traci D., wife of Richard Roberts Sr., of Lebanon, and Patti A. Walker, of Jonestown; grandchildren, Joshua Walker, Cheyenne Kreiser, and Richard Roberts Jr.; great-grandchildren, Izzabella, Alexxiz, and Jordan Kreiser, and Jaelyn Roberts; and sister, Barbara Wright, of Harrisburg.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jim, Bob, Earl “Snuff,” Wayne, Tom, and Raymond Summers; and sisters, Kay Daughenbaugh, Louise Gunsallus, Genevieve Tierney, and Joanne Summers.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 Camp Meeting Road, Jonestown. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
