Vincent Allen Bentz, 95, of Annville, PA, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, in Hershey, PA, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on Oct. 12, 1930, in Lebanon, PA, Vincent was the beloved son of the late Clarence “Pinker” and Helen Bentz. He grew up in West Lebanon, developing the strong work ethic and kind heart that defined his long life.

Vincent served his country with honor in the U.S. Army. He participated in the post-war occupation of Japan and was deployed to Korea in 1950 with the 24th Infantry Division, 34th Regiment. For his bravery, he was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

On June 15, 1957, he married the love of his life, Phyllis. Together, they built a warm home and raised four children. For many years, he worked as a sewing machine mechanic at Colebrook Terry and continued servicing machines for customers and friends in retirement. Known for his mechanical ingenuity, strong work ethic, and quiet generosity, Vincent touched many lives.

He was a longtime member of Zion E.C. Church in Annville.

He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Bentz; children, Lori, Sheila, Jim, and Eric, and their spouses; sister, Helen Ruth Baylor; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clarence “Honey” Bentz, Donald Bentz, and Robert Bentz.

Vincent’s life was one of quiet strength, deep love, and faithful service. He will be remembered fondly and greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 12:30 p.m., from Kreamer Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 618 E. Main St., Annville. Interment will follow at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 2 p.m. A viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of his service at the funeral home.
