Winfield C. Gerber, Jr., 93, formerly of Palmyra and residing at StoneRidge Poplar Run, went to be with His Lord and Savior on March 21, 2021.

Winfield worked for the Hershey Company for 42 years. He was married to Doris (Chilcoate) for over 50 years. However, the matter to him was doing God’s work. A well-read and highly spiritual person, for decades he visited the sick and terminally ill, had a door-to-door ministry, taught adult Sunday school, and held church leadership roles. Once he could no longer attend church, he ministered to those around him. Winning souls for Christ and spreading the greatness of God was his most important work.

While we know he welcomed the day he would be in God’s presence, left to remember the smiling face and warm spirit of this beautiful soul are his daughter, Dori Gerber-Snody, and his brother, Carl (Gloria). He was predeceased by his wife, son-in-law, Gary Snody, and all but one of his brothers and sister.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
