Jonestown Bank & Trust Co. (JBT) is pleased to announce plans for a new full-service community banking branch in Robesonia, PA. The new office will be located at 318 East Penn Avenue, near Ozgood’s Neighborhood Grill at the Freeman Street intersection. The site was formerly operated by Santander Bank, Boston, MA.

The new JBT Robesonia branch scheduled to open in early spring of 2020 will be JBT’s 15th community banking office – the first to be located in Berks County. The bank currently serves 11 Lebanon County communities plus three Lancaster County communities.

Troy A. Peters, President and CEO, noted, “JBT is more than pleased to be able to bring full-service, value-minded banking to the residents and business owners of Robesonia. After several other banks had moved away in recent years, we felt the community needed and deserved a truly local bank, one with staying power, fully committed to serving western Berks County. We invite folks who don’t yet know our name to learn about us, and discover what it means to Bank on a Smile® with JBT.”

The new Robesonia location will be led by Shawn Ford, Branch Manager. Ford, with 12 years of financial industry experience, recently joined JBT after previous employment with First National Bank and with Merrill Lynch. Prior to that he served in the US military. He is a resident of Lebanon and father of two — one serving in the Navy and the other in the Army. In his spare time, Ford volunteers with the USO, enjoys golf, and operates a food business named Sava the Flava BBQ.
