Pennsylvania State Police Troop L announced the official results of the New Year’s Holiday Enforcement period, which ran from midnight Saturday December 29 to midnight Tuesday January 1.
Across Berks, Lebanon, and Schuylkill counties, troopers investigated a total of 41 crashes and made 29 DUI arrests. In Lebanon County, troopers made eight DUI arrests and recorded no crashes. Last year, one non-fatal crash occurred and six DUI arrests were made.
Troopers also made 21 citations for seat belt use as well as 52 citations for other miscellaneous traffic violation.
Troop L’s next targeted holiday enforcement will be conducted from midnight Friday April 19 to midnight Sunday April 21.
