Lebanon City Police are investigating an incident yesterday that resulted in one man being treated for gunshot wounds at a local medical facility.
The wounds appear to be non-life-threatening, according to the release.
The 23 year old Lebanon man was discovered in a residence on the 400 block of N. 9th Street yesterday shortly before 5pm.
Police were first dispatched to the area of the 600 block of N. 9th Street around 4:15pm regarding a verbal confrontation between two groups. The groups dispersed upon arrival of the police, but a second call for a disturbance was made at 4:47pm to the same area. As officers were responding, they discovered another related disturbance on the 400 block of N. 9th Street involving the same two groups of people.
Police say the two groups are familiar with each other and the suspect is familiar with the victim. According to the release, this was not a random shooting incident and the male is believed to have been the intended victim.
