The Lebanon Community Library is planning its 25th annual benefit supporting the Children’s Department, and has announced that this year’s function will have a Kentucky Derby theme.

The event benefits the library’s literacy development efforts by funding books, programs, and other resources for the children of greater Lebanon.

If you are interested in supporting their work, you can help out in a few ways. Tickets for the event are available for $75 per person, and include dinner, live music, and attendance at the benefit auction. Tickets may be purchased through library board members or by contacting Michelle Hawk, director of the library, at 717-273-7624 ext 208 or via email at hawk@lclibs.org.

In-kind and cash donations are also being solicited for the auction. Items auctioned in the past included time at vacation homes, spa visits, gift certificates, themed baskets, sports memorabilia, and more.

Monetary sponsorships are available at different levels, and include recognition such as event tickets, program listing, website listing, and the knowledge that you provided arguably the most useful gift of all โ€“ cash. Top sponsors so far include Northwest Bank, Atty. Harry Fenton, Mrs. Pat Battistelli, the Leedy’s, the DeLong’s, Plasterer Equipment Co. Inc, and Alan Etter.

The library has a goal of raising $39,000 through this event. Find the event flyer below. The logo was designed by Shawn M. Seabold. More information is available at the library’s website.
