East Hanover Township

This single vehicle crash occurred on Gravel Hill Road, East Hanover Township, Lebanon County. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 25 year old Palmyra man, was traveling south on Gravel Hill Road negotiating a left hand curve in the roadway. Unit 1 began to swerve losing control and struck an embankment on the western shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise before coming to a final rest facing east. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of impact, and air bags were deployed as a result of the crash. Operator 1 did not report any injuries while on scene. The vehicle was removed from the scene by a private tow. Operator 1 was charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic.

This two-vehicle crash occurred on July 14 at 12:19pm as Unit 1, a 2005 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 74 year old Ridge, NY woman, was stopped facing south on the western shoulder of SR 934 prior to the on ramp for SR 22 West (Allentown Boulevard). Unit 1 pulled from a stopped position on the western shoulder of SR 934 without proper clearance. Unit 1 struck Unit 2, a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse driven by a 72 year old Roxboro, NC man, which was traveling south on SR 934. At that time, the front driver side fender area and bumper of Unit 1 impacted the front passenger side door of Unit 2. After impact Unit 1 and Unit 2 were able to move their vehicles from the roadway and came to final rest on the west bound shoulder of SR 934 facing south. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage to its front end. Unit 2 sustained minor damage to its passenger side door. Operator 1, Operator 2, and passenger were unharmed. All parties involved were wearing seat belts. There was no airbag deployment as a result of the crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by H&S Towing. Unit 2 was able to be driven from the crash scene. Assisted on scene by Ono Fire Company, for traffic management and fluid clean up.

Jackson Township

On July 22 at 6:22pm, PSP Jonestown investigated the report of a stolen cellphone. At this time, there is no information regarding who may have taken the phone. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Trooper Karaman at PSP Jonestown (717) 865-2194 and reference Incident Number PA 2019-974513. Stolen: Apple SE iPhone in purple Lifeproof case, valued at $150.

On July 23, PSP Jonestown responded to a report of a missing endangered person. Darlene Cramer related her husband, James Cramer, left their residence between approximately 7:30pm and 8:00pm on July 23. James Cramer’s vehicle was located in a parking lot near the Appalachian Trail on SR 645 in Schuylkill County. An extensive search was performed on the Appalachian Trail in Schuylkill County to locate James Cramer utilizing Troopers, PSP K9’s, and a PSP Aviation Unit. James Cramer is described as a 6’1, thin build, and short gray hair. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Trooper Tomko at PSP Jonestown. Myerstown Borough

On July 10 at 11:18pm, PSP Jonestown investigated a report of scattering rubbish in the rear parking area of 217 East Main Avenue, Myerstown Borough, Lebanon county. This incident occurred on July 10 at approximately 10:00pm. The complainant related she witnessed a white minivan being operated by a middle age W/N/F with blonde hair park in the parking lot and unload garbage. She related, the W/N/F unloaded nine clear plastic garbage bags and two cardboard boxes full of expired unopened cough medicine, multi vitamins, skin cream, denture adhesive, lice shampoo, and other miscellaneous hygienic products. The complainant related, she was unable to get the registration plate of the vehicle. The actor fled the scene in an unknown direction in a white minivan.

North Londonderry

Tammy Barr, a 48 year old Grantville woman, was charged with Retail Theft after she failed to scan and pay for various items at the Wal-Mart self-checkout register. Charges were filed at Judge Garver’s office. Took merchandise valued at $334.38.

South Annville Township

On July 21 at 6:3pm, at Palm City Park, members of PSP-Jonestown responded to a domestic incident involving two, adult sisters, one 19 year old Annville woman and one 18 year old Annville woman, engaged in a physical altercation. The physical altercation ended without injuries and both involved parties were cited with Harassment.

Union Township

This two-vehicle crash occurred on July 13 at 12:51pm as Unit 1, a 2016 Ford F150, was traveling south on Marsanna Lane and attempted to cross four lanes of travel across SR 72. Unit 2, a 2015 Ford Interceptor, was traveling East on SR 72 upon its right most lane. Unit 1 failed to stop at the clearly posted stop sign on Marsanna Lane and failed to clear the roadway before attempting to cross the four lanes of travel upon SR 72 in order to reach a traffic way on the South of SR 72.
