The Lebanon County District Attorney’s Office announced this morning that it will be conducting an impaired driving enforcement initiative over this Labor Day weekend.

As part of the targeted enforcement period, roving patrols will be conducted targeting impaired drivers.

The DA’s office recommends the following safety tips:

  • Have a designated driver and/or a backup plan to use a taxi or ride-sharing app if you are planning on drinking.
  • Do not walk alone after drinking.
  • If you see a potential drunk driver, call 911, it could save a life.

An additional targeted enforcement will be held by the Pennsylvania State Police Jonestown Barracks in Swatara Township on Friday night with a sobriety checkpoint scheduled to start at 10pm.
