Bethel Township

According to a release from Pennsylvania State Police, this crash occurred on August 29 at 10:54pm as Unit 1, a 2009 Harley-Davidson Road King driven by James M. Davis, Jr., a 40 year old Lebanon man, traveled North on Mount Zion Road nearing a residence located on the 1600 block of Mount Zion Road. Operator 1 failed to properly negotiate a left curve in the roadway. Unit 1 then traveled off the roadway and rolled over on to its right side. Operator 1 then slide in to a tree and became entangled within its branches. Rescuers from Mount Zion Fire Company managed to free Operator 1. Operator 1 was transported to Hershey Medical Center where he later died. The operator was wearing a helmet. First Aid and Safety Patrol provided EMS.

North Londonderry Township

On August 20 at 11:40am at the intersection of Plaza Dr. & Maple St., North Londonderry Township Police cited a 71 year old Punta Gorda, FL woman with a Stop Sign violation after she failed to yield the right-of-way to a vehicle being operated by a 36 year old New Cumberland man. The woman entered the Plaza Dr. from a posted stop sign on Maple St., striking the New Cumberland man’s truck & trailer. After the initial impact her vehicle then ricocheted into an 89 year old Palmyra woman’s vehicle that was stopped in traffic attempting to make a left hand turn onto Maple St. from Plaza Dr.
