Cornwall Borough
Deer Struck – A Lititz woman struck a deer Thursday, 8:50 AM as she was traveling south on SR 72, near SR 322 east. No injuries. Vehicle was drivable. Unknown status of the deer.
Accident – Occurred Sunday, 11:23 AM, on SR 72 North at the Mount Gretna exit. Vehicles driven by a 50-year-old Annville man; and a 35-year-old Middletown woman. No injuries. Both vehicles drivable.
Accident – Occurred Sunday, 11:23 AM, on SR 72 North at the Mount Gretna exit. A 37-year-old Jonestown man slid off the roadway striking some PennDOT signs. No injuries. Vehicle was drivable.
Accident – Occurred Monday, 2:53 AM, on SR 72 North, north of the Mount Gretna exit. A 22-year-old Ephrata woman was northbound when her vehicle began sliding on the icy roadway and struck the concrete jersey barrier. She was not injured; her vehicle had to be towed.
Accident – Occurred Saturday, 9:29 PM on Cornwall Road at Tice Lane. A 55-year-old Lebanon man was traveling south on Cornwall Road and ran into a ditch when turning onto Tice Lane. He sustained a minor injury but declined treatment. His vehicle was towed. The accident remains under investigation.
East Hanover Township
On Nov. 30 the 38-year-old Annville man reported to Pennsylvania State Police Jonestown that back on Nov. 19 he received notice from his credit card number reporting several suspicious/unauthorized transactions at the Sheetz located in Camp Hill, PA. The victim did not authorize the purchases.
On Nov. 29 at 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of SR 22 and SR 934, a traffic stop conducted by members of PSP-Jonestown yielded the seizure of marijuana and additional drug paraphernalia from the car of Cameron Fritz-Sudduth, a 22-year-old Palmyra man. Charges for this incident have been filled in Magisterial District Court 52-3-04.
North Londonderry Township
Brendaly Rivera, a 30-year-old Lebanon man, was arrested in connection with a retail theft incident that was reported on Nov. 14. On Nov. 4 at 11:11 a.m., Rivera utilized a self-checkout register at Walmart and failed to scan 35 items that totaled $289.66. Rivera then left the store failing to pay for the items.
North Londonderry Township Police have charged Michael Johnson, a 31-year-old Tremont, PA man, with retail theft following an incident at the Palmyra Walmart on Nov. 15 at 12:34 p.m. Johnson left the store and failed to pay for $707.07.
On Nov. 5 at 3:20 p.m., Pieter Deurloo, a 70-year-old Annville man, was stopped for speeding on the 900 block of Hoffer Road and was subsequently arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol.
On Nov. 22 at 10:53 a.m., a 29-year-old Annville woman was charged with retail theft after she failed to scan five items valued at $23.84.
Union Township
This crash occurred Dec. 1 at 11:27 a.m. on Interstate 81 South at mile marker 87.6, Union Township, Lebanon County. This crash occurred as Operator 1, a 21-year-old Wallingford, CT woman driving a 2008 Honda CRA, was traveling south in Unit 1 on Interstate 81 South directly behind Unit 2, a 2018 Audi Q7 driven by a 34-year-old Mason, OH man. Operator 1 was driving too fast for conditions and unable to adequately decelerate Unit 1 for traffic slowing ahead and Unit 1 subsequently struck the rear of Unit 2. Unit 1 sustained heavy damage to its front bumper, hood, and engine compartment at the 12 o’clock position and was towed from the scene by H & S Towing. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 of Unit 1 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 2 sustained mild damage to its rear bumper at the 6 o’clock position and was able to be driven from the scene in its normal customary manner. Operator 2 and Passengers 2 and 3 of Unit 2 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited with PA VC 3361 (Driving Too Fast for Conditions).
West Cornwall Township
Deer Struck – A 35-year-old Womelsdorf woman struck a deer Monday, 5:15 PM, on SR 117 at the SR 72/322 ramp. No injuries. Vehicle was drivable with minor damage. The deer fled.
Accident – Occurred Monday, 7:55 AM on SR 322 at Butler Road. Vehicles driven by a 23-year-old Palmyra man; and a 45-year-old Ephrata woman. No injuries. Both vehicles were drivable.
