Lebanon City Police have arrested two city residents in connection with the Dec. 13 attempted robbery at S&H Food and Fuel Mart.

Jose Fernandez, a 22-year-old Lebanon man, and Ezequiel Segarra-Vazquez, a 19-year-old Lebanon man, were arrested and charged with four felony counts of Robbery and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.

According to court documents, the pair was arrested Dec. 21 and incarcerated at Lebanon County Correctional Facility, having both been unable to post bail, which was set at $100,000 each.

Fernandez and Segarra-Vazquez were arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Thomas Capello. They are scheduled to return to court on Jan. 9 for preliminary hearings.

The incident had taken place just before 9:00 a.m. Friday morning, Dec. 13, at the 1 E. Cumberland Street gas station.

The robbery attempt had been foiled by an attendant who defended the store with nothing more than a wooden stick.
