Spring in Central Pennsylvania can pass with a flash—a burst of color, a few weeks of temperate weather, and a quick transition into summertime heat.

It’s primetime for local planters and gardeners.

We know that peak color may have already passed for some of you, but we want to make the season last as long as possible by collecting photos from the community of the best local home gardens.

To help get us started, we’ve reached out to well-known Lebanon County greenthumb, Dr. Thomas Carmany, a retired physician who resides in Annville, off of Mt. Pleasant Road. Each spring, Dr. Carmany spends time with thousands of his favorite buds—lots of daffodils and tulips among them!
