Several Lebanon Transit bus routes will resume normal operations starting Monday, June 8.

This decision to resume these routes’ schedules was made in response to Lebanon County officially moving into the yellow phase of reopening on May 29.

The routes that will be back on their regular schedules include LT Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 16C and 17, according to a press release. Other routes will still have previous modifications in place, including Route 16, Commute King Harrisburg Express Service, and Saturday Park City Service.

In addition to resuming these routes, Lebanon Transit will be reinstating its 25 cent transfer fee starting June 8.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, passengers will be asked to wear a face covering, wash and sanitize their hands frequently, cover their nose and mouth when coughing or sneezing, avoid touching their face, and stay home if they are not feeling well.

“Even though services are beginning to normalize, LT will remain vigilant in minimizing the spread of COVID-19,” the release reads.

Lebanon Transit is also encouraging passengers to distance themselves from other passengers, and they will have limited seating available to encourage this behavior. When necessary, additional buses will be dispatched to maintain social distancing while keeping buses on schedule.

Because of these measures to encourage social distancing, passengers are urged to allow for additional travel time, especially when they need to transfer buses, and check the Lebanon Transit website and Facebook page for up-to-date information.

Passengers with questions or concerns should call Lebanon Transit’s main office at (717) 274-3664 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays.

“As we move through this time,” the release reads, “customers must realize that things can change rapidly in this environment.”
