Lebanon City Police have announced details of a traffic accident that left a South Lebanon man dead last week.

According to a police release, the accident occurred shortly before 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, at the intersection of N. 9th and Guilford Streets.

Police said that the operator of the motorcycle, James Miller, a 36-year-old South Lebanon man, was riding north on N. 9th Street when he struck a vehicle traveling east on Guilford Street as it proceeded into the intersection. The vehicle was driven by a 76-year-old North Lebanon Township man.

Miller died as a result of injuries sustained during the crash. According to police, he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. The operator of the vehicle was said to have not been injured.

The accident remains under investigation by the Lebanon County District Attorney’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team and Lebanon City Police.
