Bethel Township

Vehicle Accident – On June 23, 2020 at 12:09 p.m., this single tractor trailer crash occurred on I 78 Westbound in the area of mile marker 7.0. This crash occurred when Operator 1, a 38 year old Madison, IN man, suffered from a medical emergency. Unit 1, a 2016 International Harvester Scout (truck), subsequently left the roadway and struck the guide rail. Operator 1 then lost control of Unit 1 and struck the guide rail again. Unit 1 subsequently came to final rest in the left lane shoulder against a berm. Operator 1 was not injured as a result of this crash. Unit 1 sustained disabling damage to its front end and was towed from the scene by Bethel’s Trucking Service.

City of Lebanon

Theft – On June 23, 2020 at 2:19 p.m. Lebanon Police Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of S. 12th Street for a theft. The victim told police he placed his belongings, including cash, on the ground while he attempted to repair his bicycle. The victim described the defendant who walked by, took his cash and walked away. A short time later, police apprehended and identified the defendant, Joseph Green a 61 year old Lebanon resident. Joseph Green was charged with theft and incarcerated in the Lebanon County Correctional Facility in lieu of $7,500 bail.

Cornwall Borough

Harassment – A 36 year old Rexmont man is charged with Harassment for an incident on June 7, 2020 at 8:07 p.m. involving a 15 year old male in the area of the 200 block of Rexmont Rd.

Myerstown Borough

Vehicle Accident – On June 22, 2020 at 1:20 p.m., this motor vehicle crash occurred on West Main Ave. in the area of the 200 block of West Main Ave. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2007 Chrysler Sebring, was traveling east on West Main Ave., attempting to pass Unit 2, a 2016 garbage truck, which was in the middle of the roadway. While Unit 1 was attempting to pass Unit 2, a passenger went to exit Unit 2 when the door struck Unit 1. No parties were injured in this crash. Both vehicles were driven away from the scene.

North Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – On June 23, 2020 at 7:34 a.m., a 55 year old Lebanon woman was waiting at the traffic signal at the intersection of Rocherty Rd. and Cornwall Rd. When the light turned green, a 20 year old Mount Joy man drifted into the woman’s vehicle, causing damage to her rear bumper. No injuries were reported at the scene. The vehicles were driven away.

Vehicle Accident – On June 23, 2020 at 4:25 p.m., a crash occurred as a 24 year old Lancaster woman backed into a 33 year old Manheim woman in the parking lot of the North Cornwall Health Center.

North Lebanon Township

Simple Assault – Angel Torres – age 32 – Lebanon was charged with simple assault and harassment after an incident that occurred on June 21, at his residence.

Disorderly Conduct – A 40 year old Lebanon woman was charged with disorderly conduct after an incident that occurred at the Lebanon Wal-Mart on June 24, 2020.

South Lebanon Township

Buckle Up PA Enforcement – South Londonderry officers participated in the most recent BUPA enforcement wave. Officers conducted a total of 121 traffic stops and issued the following citations.

Union Township

Retail Theft – On June 24, 2020 at 4:10 a.m., at Lickdale Rd., PSP Jonestown received a report of a theft. The Suspect stole two PUGS USB phone chargers, valued at $25 each. Investigation is ongoing.

Harassment – On June 23, 2020 at 1:09 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to a disturbance on the 2,000 block of SR 72. Investigation revealed a domestic-related physical altercation had occurred. Both parties were cited for Harassment. The Victims/Arrestees were a 55 year old Jonestown man and a 16 year old Jonestown female.

Drug Possession – On June 22, 2020 at 2:07 p.m., PSP Jonestown was dispatched to the Comfort Inn, located on Marsanna Ln. and Fisher Ave. in Jonestown, due to two individuals refusing to leave. Drugs and drug paraphernalia were subsequently located in plain view. PSP Jonestown is currently investigating.

West Cornwall Township

Vehicle Accident – A crash occurred at 3:45 a.m. on SR 117, east of Butler Rd. A 26 year old Palmyra resident was eastbound on SR 117, when he did not see a tree and utility lines that had fallen across the roadway. His vehicle became entangled in the tree and wires. He was not injured, but his vehicle required towing. SR 117 was closed for four hours between Bulter Rd. and Old Mine Rd.
