Bethel Township

Theft – On Sept. 21, 2020 at 12:00 p.m., State Police responded to East Main St. for a report of a theft. Troopers discovered that the Victim sent an unknown individual $500.00 via CashApp for an apartment. The Victim later discovered that the unknown individual did not own the apartment. The Victim was a 19 year old Fredericksburg woman. The stolen property included $500.00 sent via CashApp valued at $500.00. Investigation is ongoing.

Drug Possession – On Sept. 7, 2020 at 8:47 p.m., troopers conducted a traffic stop on South Pine Grove St. and Meadow St. for a vehicle code violation. Upon stopping the vehicle, an odor of marijuana was detected. A probable cause search was conducted, yielding marijuana and related paraphernalia. The Arrestee was a 20 year old Hershey woman. The vehicle involved was a 2002 Subaru Forester. Charges were filed.

Harassment – On Oct. 8, 2020 at 6:17 p.m., troopers responded to North Center St. for harassment. Upon arrival, troopers discovered a custody dispute had taken place between a mother and a father. As a result of this dispute, a physical altercation occurred between the mother and father’s parents (child’s grandparents). During the physical altercation, shoves were exchanged between the involved parties. NTC’s filed on involved parties. The Arrestee was a 50 year old Fredericksburg man. The Arrestees/Victims were a 38 year old Fredericksburg woman and a 35 year old Fredericksburg woman. The Victim was an 18 year old Fredericksburg woman.

Drug Possession – On Sept. 29, 2020 at 9:31 a.m., a traffic stop conducted by members of PSP Jonestown on a 2011 Toyota Avalon on the 00 block of I 78 West yielded the seizure of THC Vape Pens, THC Wax, and additional drug paraphernalia. The Arrestee was a 27 year old Centralia, IL man. Charges for this incident are to be filed in Magisterial District Court 52-3-03.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 9, 2020 at 7:20 a.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred on Mount Zion Rd. at its intersection with SR 22 in Bethel Twp. Unit 2, a 2008 Honda CRV, driven by Operator 2, a 74 year old Bethel woman, was traveling south on Mount Zion Rd., north of its intersection with SR 22. Unit 1, a 2016 Ford F550, driven by Operator 1, a 36 year old Annville woman, was stopped at the stop sign, facing west, on the driveway for the PennDOT Facility at its intersection with Mount Zion Rd. Unit 1 proceeded from the stop sign, traveling west towards SR 22, without clearance and was struck by Unit 2. Unit 1 sustained minor damage as a result of the crash. Unit 2 sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Operator 2 sustained suspected minor injuries but refused EMS transport. Operator 1 was cited for Stop Signs and Yield Signs. Operator 2 was cited for Restraint Systems.

City of Lebanon

Harassment – A 68 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Harassment on Oct. 2, 2020 at 7:20 a.m. on the 600 block of Federal St.

Harassment – A 15 year old female and a 32 year old man, both Lebanon residents, have been cited for Harassment after an incident on Oct. 4, 2020 at 3:46 a.m. on the 00 block of South 10th St.

Curfew Violations, Drug Possession – A 16 year old female and a 17 year old male, both Lebanon residents, have been cited for Curfew on Oct. 3, 2020 at 1:25 a.m. on the 100 block of Van Buren St. The 17 year old male has also been cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Fleeing And Eluding, Reckless Driving – Charges of Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police, Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked, Reckless Driving, Duties at Stop Signs (4 counts) and Violations of Title have been filed against Gilberto Sanchez, a 21 year old Lebanon resident, after investigation into an incident on Aug. 13, 2020 at 12:58 a.m. on the 200 block of South 4th St. Sanchez is accused of fleeing from police while he drove his vehicle without a license and through several stop signs at a high rate of speed. Police terminated the pursuit and were able to identify Sanchez after the incident. It was learned that Sanchez is wanted for two arrest warrants. A warrant has been issued for his arrest as a result of this incident.

DUI, Careless Driving – Charges of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and Careless Driving have been filed against Patrick Wersinger, a 28 year old Lebanon resident, after a traffic stop on Aug. 30, 2020 at 1:45 a.m. on the 800 block of Chestnut St. Police accuse Wersinger of having a BAC of .188% at the time of the traffic stop.

Robbery, Simple Assault, Criminal Mischief – Charges of Robbery, Simple Assault, and Criminal Mischief have been filed against a 17 year old male from Lebanon after investigation of an incident that occurred on Sept. 16, 2020 at 7:08 p.m. on the 200 block of North 7th St. The juvenile is accused of approaching the Operator of the vehicle, after the juvenile damaged the driver’s side mirror of the Victim’s vehicle, and pulling him from the driver’s seat. The juvenile punched the Victim and took his phone, throwing it to the ground and damaging it. The Victim had taken pictures of the juvenile and other juveniles with him while they were riding bicycles on the road. The Victim sustained an injury to his orbital bone area to the extent of bruising. Total damage to the Victim’s mirror, glasses, and phone totaled $644.29.

Disorderly Conduct – A 20 year old Lebanon man has been cited for Disorderly Conduct (loud music) on Oct. 7, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. on the 800 block of Locust St.

Criminal Mischief – Fleicia Lira-Benedit, a 49 year old Lebanon resident, has been cited for Criminal Mischief after an incident on Sept. 27, 2020 at 4:00 a.m. on the 400 block of Walnut St. She is accused of damaging a window at the property of another. Total loss to the Victim is $149.74.

Criminal Mischief – A charge of Criminal Mischief has been filed against Shawn Leedy, a 45 year old Jonestown resident, after investigation into damage to the Victim’s vehicle on Aug. 27, 2020 at 3:50 p.m. on the 100 block of Mifflin St. Leedy is accused of causing $1,519.99 in damage to the paint of the vehicle.

Simple Assault, Terroristic Threats – Michel Cruz-Vazquez, a 33 year old Lebanon resident, has been charged with Simple Assault (4 counts – domestic violence-related) and Terroristic Threats after an incident on Oct. 2, 2020 at 3:47 a.m. on the 800 block of Locust St. Cruz-Vazquez is accused of striking the 41 year old Victim, causing injury to her head. He is also accused of holding and swinging a screwdriver at the Victim and a 13 year old male, threatening to kill them both. Police apprehended Cruz-Vazquez and transported him to LCCB. He was arraigned before MDJ Maria Dissinger and incarcerated at LCCF in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Burglary, Terrorist Threats – Charges of Burglary and Terroristic Threats have been filed against Bradley Doster, a 41 year old with no permanent address, after an incident on Oct. 4, 2020 at 3:04 p.m. on the 00 block of South 3rd Ave. Doster is accused of entering the residence of the Victim without permission and threatening to harm the 60 year old male Victim. The Victim was not injured as a result of this incident. Doster fled prior to police arrival and has not been located. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.

Simple Assault – A charge of Simple Assault has been filed against Sara Ferguson, a 26 year old Lebanon resident, after an incident on Sept. 8, 2020. at 6:34 p.m. in the 100 section of Lebanon Village Apartments. Ferguson is accused of approaching the 23 year old Victim and punching her multiple times, causing injury to the Victim’s face. The Victim required medical treatment for her injuries.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 9, 2020 at 3:00 p.m., this crash occurred on Allentown Blvd. at its intersection with Bullfrog Rd. in East Hanover Twp. Unit 1, a 2017 Toyota IM, driven by Operator 1, an 18 year old Grantville woman, was traveling south on Bullfrog Rd., preparing to turn east on Allentown Blvd. Unit 2, a 2018 Harley-Davidson Sport Glide, driven by Operator 2, a 58 year old Palmyra man, was traveling north on Bullfrog Rd., preparing to cross Allentown Blvd. Unit 1 struck Unit 2 in the middle of the intersection. Operator 1 sustained no injuries. Operator 2 sustained suspected minor injuries but was not transported. Unit 1 sustained minor damage. Unit 2 sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Motter’s. Both Unit 1 and Unit 2 came to final rest in the intersection of SR 22 and Bullfrog Rd. Operator 1 was cited for Vehicle Entering or Crossing Roadway. PSP was assisted on scene by members of PSP Jonestown, Lebanon County fire companies, and Life Lion EMS.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 9, 2020 at 5:29 a.m., this crash occurred on SR 22 just east of its intersection with Jonestown Rd. in East Hanover Twp. Unit 1, a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Operator 1, a 22 year old Palmyra man, was traveling east on SR 22 just east of its intersection with Jonestown Rd. when a deer jumped across a grassy median area into the roadway. Unit 1 subsequently struck the deer, causing damage to the front. Unit 1 was towed by Porini’s Towing. Operator 1 reported no injuries as a result of this crash.

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 11, 2020 at 10:40 a.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred on SR 934 near the I 81 South Exit 85 ramp that merges onto SR 934 in East Hanover Twp. This crash occurred when Operator 1, a 54 year old Grantville man, of Unit 1, a 2000 Freightliner FL/70, was traveling north on SR 934 when it began attempting to make a U-turn to head south on SR 934 when it struck Unit 2, a 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan, driven by Operator 2, a 27 year old Mechanicsburg woman, which was traveling in the left lane of SR 934 Northbound. Unit 1 did not properly clear the roadway prior to attempting to make the turn. Unit 1 sustained minor front driver’s side damage. Unit 2 sustained disabling front passenger’s side damage. Unit 2 was towed from the scene by Joe May’s Towing Company. Neither Operator reported any injuries as a result of this crash.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 6, 2020 at 7:24 a.m., this crash occurred on Heidelberg Ave. in Heidelberg Twp. near the 2,000 block of Heidelberg Ave. This crash occurred as Unit 1 was traveling southbound. Unit 1 crossed the center line, striking Unit 2, a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Operator 2, a 46 year old Reinholds man, in the northbound lane of travel. Operator 1 fled the scene of the accident in Unit 1. It is unknown if Operator 1 sustained any injuries. It is unknown if Unit 1 sustained any damage. Operator 2 drove Unit 2 from the scene of the accident. Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries. Unit 2 sustained minor damage including a smashed driver’s side mirror and a cracked windshield.

Jackson Township

Theft – On Sept. 4, 2020 at 1:54 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Weavertown Rd. for a report of a load of shingles going undelivered. The load of 14 pallets, valued at approximately $26,501.68, were picked up by a sub-contracted company known as 7 Multi Service and Transport Corporation at Gaf Materials Corporation and not delivered to the appropriate location on the 00 block of Page Blvd. in Springfield, MA. The Victim was Gaf Materials Corporation in Myerstown. The lost property included 14 pallets of charcoal-colored shingles valued at $26,501.68. PSP is investigating.

Fatal Accident – On Oct. 9, 2020 at 6:49 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country (minivan), driven by Operator 1, a 70 year old Lebanon man, accompanied by Passenger 1, Karen Jones, a 66 year old Lebanon woman, Passenger 2, a 12 year old Lebanon female, Passenger 3, a 15 year old Lebanon male, Passenger 4, a 13 year old Lebanon male, was traveling west and Unit 2, a 2000 Kenworth, driven by Operator 2, a 64 year old Robesonia man, was traveling east on SR 422, just east of Fairlane Ave. in Jackson Twp. Unit 1 traveled into the center turn lane to turn left into West Side Pizza. Unit 1 did not observe Unit 2 traveling eastbound. Unit 2 collided with Unit 1. The front-seat passenger of Unit 1 (Passenger 1) suffered fatal injuries from the collision. Multiple injuries were reported from Occupants of Unit 1. Occupants of Unit 1 were transported to Reading Hospital for further evaluation.  (Editor’s note: Passenger 1’s name included as this was a fatal crash.) 

Theft – On Sept. 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., PSP Jonestown troopers responded to the 00 block of Laurel Dr. in Myerstown Boro. for a report of fraudulent charges. The Victims were a 27 year old Myerstown man and a 24 year old Myerstown woman. PSP Jonestown troopers are investigating.

Myerstown Borough

Harassment – On Oct. 8, 2020 at 6:42 p.m., this incident occurred on South Railroad St. when the Victim and an unidentified juvenile male got into a verbal altercation. The altercation escalated when the unidentified male struck the Victim in the arm with a stick. The Victim related she does not want any charges filed in this matter. The Victim was a 13 year old Myerstown female.

North Lebanon Township

DUI – Vickie Krall, a 55 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Driving Under the Influence after being involved in an accident at 15th Ave. and Route 422 on Sept. 6, 2020.

Simple Assault – Shane Gettle, a 28 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Simple Assault after an incident that occurred in the 2,900 block of Tunnel Hill Rd. on Oct. 5, 2020.

Simple Assault – Austen Heller, a 31 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Simple Assault after an incident that occurred in the 1,600 block of Heilmandale Rd. on Oct. 5, 2020.

Retail Theft – Toni Bashore, a 36 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Retail Theft after an incident that occurred at the Foot Locker, Lebanon Valley Mall, on Sept. 29, 2020. She failed to pay for $327 worth of merchandise.

Drug Violations – Brianna Eisenhauer, a 19 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after an incident that occurred on Oct. 5, 2020 in the 1,500 block of Sandhill Rd.

South Lebanon Township

Terrorist Threats – On Sept. 11, 2020 at 9:15 a.m., PSP is investigating a threat made by an inmate at LCCF on the 700 block of East Walnut St.

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident – On Oct. 9, 2020 at 6:51 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Operator 1, a 45 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling southbound on SR 72 near its intersection with Broad St. in Swatara Twp. Unit 2, a 2016 Volkswagen Golf, driven by Operator 2, a 36 year old Fredericksburg woman, slowed to turn left onto Broad St. Unit 1 failed to stop in time, rear-ending Unit 2. Unit 2 was subsequently pushed into Unit 3, a 2019 International Harvester Cascadia, driven by Operator 3a 23 year old Houston, TX man. Operator 1 suffered minor injuries and was transported by Life Lion EMS. Operator 2 suffered minor injuries and was not transported by Life Lion EMS. Operator 3 sustained no injuries. Unit 1 and Unit 2 sustained heavy all-around damage and were towed from the scene. Unit 3 sustained no damage. Unit 1 came to final rest in a grass field beyond the right shoulder of the roadway. Unit 2 came to final rest in the southbound lane of SR 72. Unit 3 continued southbound and later returned to the scene. PSP was assisted on scene by Lebanon County fire companies and Joe May’s Towing.

Criminal Trespass – On Oct. 4, 2020 at 9:19 a.m., troopers of PSP Jonestown station responded to Little Mountain Rd. for a report of a trespass. Upon arrival on scene, it was determined three juveniles walked on the Victim’s property. The juveniles were then released to their parents. The Victim was a 66 year old Jonestown man. The Arrestees were a 10 year old Jonestown male, a 13 year old Jonestown male, and a 14 year old Jonestown male.

Runaway – On Oct. 10, 2020 at 7:57 p.m., this incident occurred on Kreider Dr. when the father of the juvenile Victim (W/N/F, 17 year old) left her residence at 7:00 a.m. and did not return home on Oct. 10, 2020. Telephone contact was made with the Victim who related she was in Philadelphia. The Victim was entered in NCIC as a missing juvenile. The Victim was a 17 year old Newville female.

Union Township

Firearm Not To Possess – On Sept. 25, 2020 at 2:11 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to I 81 Southbound near mile marker 91.3 for a report of a single motorcycle crash. Investigation revealed that the Operator of the motorcycle was in possession of a firearm. Investigation further revealed that the Operator was an enumerated person (felon) not to possess a firearm. The Arrestee was a 60 year old Syracuse, NY man. PSP is investigating.

Theft Of A Motor Vehicle – On Oct. 4, 2020 at 12:16 p.m., troopers of PSP Jonestown station responded to Moechlin Ln. for a report of a theft of a motor vehicle. An unknown Actor(s) walked on the Victim’s property and stole a dirt bike. The Actor(s) then fled in an unknown direction. The Victim was a 35 year old Jonestown woman. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to call PSP Jonestown station.

West Lebanon Township

Simple Assault, Harassment – Zabdiel Perez-Girau, a 24 year old Lebanon resident, was charged with Simple Assault and Harassment after an incident that occurred on Oct. 4, 2020 in the 2000 block of Lehman St.
