Bethel Township
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 3, 2020 at 6:23 p.m., this two-vehicle crash occurred on Mount Zion Rd. at its intersection with Greble Rd. in Bethel Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a John Deere 7810, driven by Operator 2, a 78 year old Myerstown man, was traveling southbound on Mount Zion Rd., south of its intersection with Greble Rd. Unit 1, a 2000 Ford Econoline E150, driven by Operator 1, a 19 year old Lebanon man, was traveling southbound behind Unit 2. As Unit 2 was attempting to make a lefthand turn onto Greble Rd., Unit 1 attempted to pass Unit 2 in a no-passing zone. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were not injured as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for No-Passing Zones.
North Annville Township
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 3, 2020 at approximately 6:00 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to SR 934 in the area of Clear Spring Rd. for a reported crash. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2014 Honda CRV, driven by Operator 1, a 43 year old Annville woman, was traveling north on SR 934 when a deer ran from the west side of the road and struck the driver’s side of the vehicle, causing damage and airbag deployment. Deer hair was located on the driver’s side of the vehicle and embedded near the door handle and fender. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and refused transport.
South Lebanon Township
Harassment – On Nov. 8, 2020 at 9:50 a.m., at East Walnut St., an inmate of LCCF did strike an officer in the eye with a closed fist and did kick an LCCF officer in the chest. The Arrestee was Antonio Caniglia, a 34 year old Willoughby Hill, OH man. The Victim was a Lebanon man.
Swatara Township
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 3, 2020 at 7:31 p.m., this single-vehicle hit and run crash occurred as Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, was traveling northbound on Grace Ave., south of its intersection with Apple Ln. Unit 1 left the roadway and struck two mailboxes on the shoulder of the roadway. Unit 1 then fled the scene of the crash. Troopers are investigating.
Union Township
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 4, 2020 at 4:56 a.m., this crash occurred on SR 72 near its intersection with Penny Ln. in Union Twp. Unit 1, a 1997 Suzuki Sidekick, driven by Operator 1, a 37 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling north on SR 72 and Unit 2, a 2014 Ford Club Wagon E350, driven by Operator 2, a 48 year old Lebanon woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 39 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling south on SR 72. Unit 1 failed to maintain its lane of travel, crossed over into the southbound travel lane, and struck Unit 2 head-on. After initial impact, Unit 1 came to final rest facing west in the northbound lane of SR 72. Unit 2, after initial impact, traveled off the right edge of the southbound travel lane and struck a set of bilco basement doors on the residence on the 00 block of Penny Ln. Unit 2 came to final rest facing south in the side yard of the residence on the 00 block of Penny Ln. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was not transported. Operator 2 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and refused transport. Passenger 1 sustained no injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving with a Suspended License, Careless Driving, and Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic. All charges are pending before MDJ Ditzler.
Vehicle Accident – On Dec. 4, 2020 at 5:51 p.m., this two-vehicle hit and run occurred on Fisher Ave. at its intersection with Old Forge Rd. in Union Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2017 International Harvester LF687, driven by Operator 2, a 62 year old Carlisle man, was proceeding straight through a red light from the off ramp for I 81 Northbound onto Old Forge Rd. Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, was attempting to turn left in front of Unit 2 and struck Unit 2 head-on. Unit 1 then fled the scene of the crash. Operator 2 was not injured as a result of this crash. Troopers are investigating.
