Red Cross Giving Day will be held on March 24 and there are several ways to get involved.

You can financially support disaster relief, urgent humanitarian needs, or your local Red Cross, in addition to volunteering, learning a life-saving skill, or, as there is an ongoing critical need, donate blood.

March has been declared to be Red Cross Month by presidents for the past 80 years, and as the coronavirus pandemic wears on, this is the perfect time to get involved to ensure families don’t have to face a crisis alone. Throughout the pandemic, community service has already been evident, especially in the way that coronavirus survivors in central Pa. have been among thousands across the country who donated plasma with potentially lifesaving COVID-19 antibodies. The Red Cross has also continued to provide support to families who suffer catastrophic events like house fires.

Giving Day is the organization’s annual fundraiser. Visit redcross.org for more information about how to get involved.
