Vietnamese restaurant Pho Yummy has opened up in North Cornwall Township at 1731 Quentin Road.
The restaurant, located between Kugo and Wine Spirit, is just a stone’s throw away from the new Lebanon County mass vaccination clinic which occupies the former Kmart building. Pho might just be the perfect fortification as you gear up for those second shot side effects.

Pho Yummy represents the culmination of a longtime dream held by Tony Le and Thinh Bui, two best friends who finally made the jump and signed a lease right at the end of 2019. You know what came next. Operating most any establishment last year was difficult, but trying to open in a pandemic? Near impossible, as governmental operations and inspections also slowed during this time.
Pho Yummy finally received its inspection approval on Tuesday, Feb. 23, and quickly moved to open on Friday, Feb. 26. Now Bui and Le are trying to make up for lost time and money, while honing their offering to best please their growing local customer base.
“Our goal is to give the community a new start โ fresh food, with both quality and service.”
Entering the restaurant
Pho Yummy’s name features the iconic Vietnamese dish, phแป, a typically beef broth based soup containing noodles, meat, and a choose-your-own mix of bean sprouts, basil, onions, cilantro, hoisin sauce, and more. And true to the restaurant name, their pho is indeed very yummy, with an umami bomb in every bite.
The restaurant’s interior shows off the fruits of the team’s labors over the last year as they plotted their opening during the thick of COVID-19 shutdowns.
Grab a drink
There are plenty of tasty beverages at Pho Yummy, including Vietnamese coffee (high octane caffeination), fruit smoothies, limeade, and bubble tea.
Who’s having an appetizer?
Vietnamese cuisine on the whole is known for being fresh, light, and flavorful. Spring rolls featuring shrimp are your author’s personal favorite, but egg rolls, fried tofu rolls, and fried wontons are delicious as well. You might find yourself scraping the bowl of whatever sauce comes with your meal, whether that’s the sweet chili sauce served with the egg rolls or the peanut sauce that comes with the spring rolls. Fresh herbs round out the plate.
Plenty of classic choices
Not in the mood for pho? No worries, you’ve got plenty of options on the Pho Yummy menu. Shrimp pho noodles, fried rice, spicy lemon grass, and wonton noodle soup will all hit the spot if you’ve got the craving.
An unphogettable taste experience
Now time for the main event… Pho!
We’ve got buno bo hue, or spicy beef noodle, on left, and pho dac biet, or just “pho”, on the right. Toppings in the middle. Flavor to taste!
Pho Yummy is located at 1731 Quentin Road and is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Find them on Facebook for more information.
