City of Lebanon

Drug Possession – On March 19, 2021 at 7:23 p.m., troopers conducted a traffic stop at West Cumberland St. and South 12th St. on a 2008 Honda Civic. The Operator was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. The Arrestee was a 26 year old Lebanon woman.

Myerstown Borough

DUI – On April 3, 2021 at 9:52 p.m., members of PSP Jonestown responded to East Main Ave. for a multi-vehicle crash. Upon arrival on scene, it was determined that Unit 1 had struck Unit 2 and Unit 3, both legally parked vehicles. Prior to being transported to Reading Hospital, Operator 1 advised EMS and Fire personnel on scene of prior alcoholic beverage consumption. Members of PSP Reading responded to Reading Hospital to further speak with Operator 1. During an interview with members of PSP Reading, Operator 1 displayed signs of impairment. Charges for this incident are pending forensic blood analysis results. The Victim was a 50 year old Myerstown man. The vehicles involved included a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, and a 2011 Honda CRV.

North Annville Township

Vehicle Accident – On April 4, 2021 at 4:56 a.m., this crash occurred on SR 422 near its intersection with Killinger St. in North Annville Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2019 Kia Optima, driven by Operator 1, was traveling east on SR 422, when a deer entered the roadway. Unit 1 subsequently struck the deer. Unit 1 sustained contact damage to the front bumper and headlight assembly. Operator 1 reported no injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 did not feel safe driving Unit 1 and contacted a personal tow.

North Cornwall Township

Fatal Accident – On April 5, 2021 at 8:39 p.m., police were dispatched to an accident with injuries in the area of the 1,500 and 1,600 blocks of Quentin Rd. in Lebanon. Unit 2, driven by Operator 2, a 55 year old Lebanon man, and Passenger 1, a 12 year old male juvenile, was traveling south on Quentin Rd. Unit 1, driven by Operator 1, a 41 year old Lebanon man, was traveling north on Quentin Rd. It appeared that Operator 1 swerved into Operator 2’s lane of travel and caused a head-on collision. The vehicles involved in the collision suffered severe front-end damage and were towed from the scene. Operator 2 complained of an injury to his ankle and was transported by First Aid and Safety Patrol to the Hershey Medical Center. Passenger 1, a 12 year old male juvenile, was pronounced deceased from the injuries he suffered during the crash. Operator 1, Jose Martinez, Jr., was pronounced deceased upon the arrival of EMS.

North Londonderry Township

Dangerous Dog, Confinement And Control – On Feb. 26, 2021 at 10:21 a.m., this incident occurred on the 400 block of Wheatstone Dr. This incident occurred as a Palmyra man was watching a dog for another person and, when a person arrived for a meeting, the dog was able to get past the man and the open door and bit the person. The Victim was transported to the Penn State Hershey Medical Center for treatment of injuries. The man, as the keeper of the dog, was cited for Dangerous Dog and Confinement and Control.
