On April 17, Campbelltown Community Alliance (CCA) hosted a Community Clean Up Day in the Village of Campbelltown, with over 100 volunteers present. Those volunteers included Lebanon County Commissioner Bill Ames and his wife Josie, members of CCA, Girl Scout troops 70430, 71518, and 70549, Palmyra Area High School Key Club, Rising Sun employees, and other members of the community.
Volunteers received bags, gloves, and safety vests (which were donated by PennDOT) at the South Londonderry Township Building before getting to work. According to the CCA, the event was quite successful.
Some volunteers even expressed that they’re eagerly anticipating next year’s clean up event, as the community continues to make Campbelltown a cleaner, more beautiful place to live.
