PennDOT has ended the detour around a section of Route 241 (Colebrook Road) in North Cornwall and West Cornwall Townships. The road was closed in April from Creekside Drive to just north of Mill Road for the realignment of a sharp S-curve.

Paving of the relocated section of roadway will begin next week and take about two weeks. PennDOT said it “will be done at night under flagging.”

The second part of the Colebrook Road project will be the construction of a traffic circle at the intersection of Route 241 and Rocherty Road, about a mile to the south.

PennDOT said on May 11 that traffic circle work “will begin at a future date,” and is expected to be completed by Oct. 29, 2021.

Pennsy Supply, Inc., of Harrisburg is the prime contractor on the $3,410,676 project.
