Bethel Township

Death Natural – On May 20, 2021 at 12:29 a.m., this incident occurred on Forest Dr. as the Victim passed away from a terminal illness. Her husband was with her at the time of her death. The Victim was a 39 year old Fredericksburg woman.

Vehicle Accident – On May 15, 2021 at 6:46 a.m., this reportable crash occurred at Mount Zion Rd., just south of its intersection with Prescott Rd. in Bethel Twp. Unit 1, a black 2021 Toyota Corolla, driven by Operator. 1, Zachary Collins, a 22 year old Lebanon man, was traveling north in the right lane of Mount Zion Rd. Unit 1 traversed off of the shoulder of the roadway and struck a utility pole on the right shoulder, coming to final rest in the field, facing east. Initial impact occurred as the front bumper of Unit 1 struck the utility pole. Operator 1 suffered suspected minor injuries to both legs and was evaluated on scene by Myerstown EMS. Operator 1 refused transport for further evaluation. Operator 1 was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Unit 1 was disabled from the crash and was towed from the scene by Porrini’s Towing. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

PFA Violation – On May 24, 2021 at 4:15 p.m., this incident occurred on West Main St. The Arrestee arrived at PSP Jonestown and was served with a Protection From Abuse (PFA) Order. The Arrestee left PSP Jonestown and returned to the protected address of the PFA. The Arrestee took custody of his daughter, who is a protected party of the PFA, and returned with her to PSP Jonestown. The Arrestee related that he brought his daughter to PSP Jonestown to see if he was allowed to be with her. The Arrestee was taken into custody and charges were prepared through MDJ 52-3-03 for violation of the PFA. The Arrestee was subsequently transported to the Lebanon County Central Booking to await preliminary arraignment. The Arrestee was Luis Rivera-Ruiz, a 31 year old Fredericksburg man. The Victims were a 31 year old Fredericksburg woman and a 0 year old Fredericksburg female.

Jackson Township

Theft Of A Motor Vehicle – On May 21, 2021 at approximately 12:04 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the 700 block of East Lincoln Ave. for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was then located on the 400 block of East 28th St. in Elizabeth Twp. in Lancaster County. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194. The Victim was a 61 year old Newmanstown man. The vehicles involved included a white 2018 Chevrolet Cruze.

Vehicle Accident – On May 22, 2021 at 12:31 a.m., this crash occurred in the area of the 800 block of Hilltop Rd. in Jackson Twp. Unit 1, a 2012 Chevrolet Sonic, driven by Operator 1, a 20 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling south on Hilltop Rd. Unit 2, an unknown make and model, driven by Operator 2, was traveling north on Hilltop Rd., as Unit 1 was negotiating a right curve in the roadway. Unit 2 entered Unit 1’s lane of travel as it passed another vehicle traveling north on Hilltop Rd. Unit 1, in an attempt to avoid a head-on collision with Unit 2, swerved to the right, traveled off of the southbound shoulder, and struck a utility pole head-on. Operator 1 suffered suspected minor injury as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit to the Good Samaritan Hospital. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Theft Items From Motor Vehicle – This incident occurred sometime between May 16, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. and May 17, 2021 at 12:30 p.m as State Police responded to Beverly Dr. for a report of a theft. Through investigation, it was discovered that two Victims had their vehicles broken into and had numerous items stolen sometime between the above-listed dates and times. The unknown Actor(s) entered and exited the scene by unknown means of travel in unknown directions of travel. The Victims were a 31 year old Myerstown man and a 51 year old Myerstown man. The stolen property included a Nikon Coolpix Black Nikon Coolpix Digital Camera, valued at $180.00, a Wallet Containing Miscellaneous Cards, valued at $50.00, One Of The Victim’s Driver’s License, valued at $0.00, and 81.00 Dollars In U.S. Currency, valued at $81.00. The vehicles involved included a 2019 Subaru Crosstek, a 2012 Jeep, and a 2020 Chevrolet Spark. Investigation is ongoing.

Jonestown Borough

Harassment – On May 23, 2021 at 12:23 a.m., PSP Jonestown troopers were dispatched to Twin Creeks Dr. for a physical domestic altercation between a father and his juvenile son. The father and son were both cited for Harassment. The Victims/Arrestees were a 17 year old Jonestown male and a 44 year old Jonestown man. Charges are pending before MDJ Wolfe 52-3-03.

North Annville Township

Harassment – On May 22, 2021 at 3:35 a.m., this incident occurred on Blacks Bridge Rd. as the Victim and the Arrestee argued over keys. During the argument, the Arrestee punched the Victim. The Arrestee was a 31 year old Brooklyn, NY man. The Victim was a 26 year old Lebanon woman.

North Londonderry Township

Vehicle Accident – On May 22, 2021 at 10:40 a.m., this two-vehicle accident occurred in the area of the 1,100 block of West Main St. A 19 year old York woman was traveling west on SR 422 when she rear-ended the vehicle driven by a 38 year old Annville man. No injuries were reported as a result of this crash and both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene. Merritt was cited for Following Too Closely. The citation was filed with DJ Garver’s office.

South Londonderry Township

Disorderly Conduct – On May 7, 2021 at approximately 3:30 p.m., the South Londonderry Twp. police were called to the 2,800 block of C. Horseshoe Pike for a disturbance. After a police investigation, it was learned that Alexis Geist, a 20 year old Cleona resident, had used pepper spray inside of a residence on three persons for no reason. Geist was charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Swatara Township

Vehicle Accident – On May 21, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2016 Honda CRV, driven by Operator 1, a 53 year old Lebanon man, was traveling south on South Lancaster Rd. and Unit 2, a 1987 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Operator 2, a 74 year old Lebanon man, was traveling north on South Lancaster Rd. Unit 1 failed to yield to oncoming traffic. Unit 1 then turned left, crossing over the northbound travel lane, attempting to turn onto Quarry Rd. Unit 1’s 12 o’clock position then struck Unit 2’s 10 o’clock position. This would be both Units’ point of initial impact. Unit 1 then traveled through the crash and ended in its position of final rest, facing east. Unit 2 then continued through the crash and ended in its position of final rest, facing north. No medical attention of either Operator was required as a result of this crash. Both Units required towing from disabling damage sustained in the crash. Operator 1 was cited for Vehicle Turning Left.
