Bethel Township
Vehicle Accident – On July 22, 2021 at 6:48 p.m., this crash occurred on South Pine Grove St. at its intersection with Freeport Rd. in Bethel Twp. This was a two-vehicle crash that occurred as both Unit 1, a 2016 Nissan Murano, driven by Operator 1, a 60 year old Lebanon woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 28 year old Lebanon man, and Unit 2, a 2019 Ford F-150XLT, driven by Operator 2, a 51 year old Myerstown man, accompanied by Passenger 2, a 46 year old Myerstown woman, were traveling south on South Pine Grove St. Unit 1 was behind Unit 2 prior to the crash. Unit 2 began to slow down to turn left onto Freeport Rd. Operator 1 failed to observe Unit 2 slowing down and was unable to brake in time. Unit 1 then struck Unit 2 in its rear bumper and tailgate with the front bumper of Unit 1. Both Unit 1 and Unit 2 came to final rest in the right lane of travel. Unit 1 sustained damage to its entire front end, including its bumper, hood, engine, and windshield. Unit 2 sustained damage to its rear bumper, tailgate, bed, and rear window glass. Operator 1, Passenger 1, Operator 2, and Passenger 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 were transported via Life Lion EMS to the Hershey Medical Center for treatment of injuries sustained during the crash. Operator 2 and Passenger 2 were transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon to the Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the crash. Both Unit 1 and Unit 2 were towed by Blatt and Tillet Towing. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Fire and EMS. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely.
City of Lebanon
DUI – On Aug. 1, 2021 at 12:31 p.m., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on Quentin Rd. and Martin St. The Operator was found to be under the influence of drugs. The Arrestee was Angel Santos, a 33 year old Lebanon man. The vehicles involved included a 2004 BMW.
East Hanover Township
Harassment – On Aug. 5, 2021 at approximately 11:53 a.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown were dispatched to the 00 block of 1st St., Building 1979, Ft. Indiantown Gap, in East Hanover Twp. for a harassment-related incident. Through further investigation, troopers learned that on July 26, 2021 at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Arrestee did harass the Victim by unwantedly grabbing her buttocks. The Arrestee was subsequently cited with Harassment. All charges were filed with MDJ 52-3-04. The Arrestee was a Port Saint Luci, FL man. The Victim was a 32 year old Grove City, OH woman.
Identity Theft – On Aug. 3, 2021 at approximately 12:30 p.m., State Police responded to Sherks Church Rd. for identity theft. Through investigation, it was discovered that an unknown individual utilized the Victim’s personal information to file a fraudulent claim for unemployment benefits. The Victim became aware of this incident when her employer emailed her on July 3, 2021 and informed her that they received the above-listed claim. The Victim completed the required unemployment fraud form with the Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was also provided information on how to start a recovery plan with the Federal Trade Commission. The Victim reported no financial loss as a result of this incident. Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor and Industry has been advised of this incident via email. The Victim was a 53 year old Palmyra woman. The stolen property included the Victim’s Identity.
Harassment – PSP Jonestown received a Childline report of suspected child abuse and neglect on July 29, 2021 in reference to a 12 year old female who was touched under her shorts but over her underwear by a 13 year old female. The 13 year old female never asked for consent. This incident occurred in a bathroom at Sky Summer Camp approximately three to four weeks prior to the Childline report. The 12 year old female’s mother was advised that PSP Jonestown would be investigating the incident. The CRC intake form was completed. This incident is currently under investigation. The Victim was a 12 year old Camp Hill female.
Heidelberg Township
Vehicle Accident – On July 11, 2021 at 6:14 p.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred on Schaeffer Rd., west of Prescott Rd. in Heidelberg Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2015 Nissan Rogue, driven by Operator 1, a 35 year old Myerstown woman, was traveling eastbound on Schaeffer Rd. and the Operator began to have a medical episode. Unit 1 exited the right side of the roadway and hit a fence, entered a field, then hit the fence again, entered the roadway again, and continued traveling eastbound. Operator 1 continued traveling eastbound on Schaeffer Rd. and then began traveling northbound on SR 501. Operator 1 continued traveling northbound on SR 501 until losing consciousness in the area of the 800 block of SR 501 and coming to a complete stop. Operator 1 was transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit to the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital due to low blood sugar. Unit 1 sustained minor damage to the front end. It is unknown whether Operator 1 was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
Jackson Township
Indecent Exposure – On July 27, 2021 at 7:29 p.m., this incident occurred on West Main Ave. In the commission of this crime, the Suspect was observed by Victim 1 and Victim 2 to be outside on the side porch of his residence completely naked with his penis and genitalia exposed. Victim 2 further observed the Suspect sit in an armchair on the side porch of his residence and begin masturbating. The Victims were a 21 year old Myerstown woman and a 29 year old Myerstown man.
Millcreek Township
Vehicle Accident – On July 31, 2021 at 1:01 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2005 Jeep Liberty, driven by Operator 1, an 18 year old Myerstown woman, and Unit 2, a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Operator 2, a 53 year old Newmanstown man, were traveling west on SR 419 approximately 200 yards east of Reistville Rd. This crash occurred as Unit 2 was slowing and making a legal righthand turn into a business at this location. Unit 1 failed to maintain proper speed, causing Unit 1’s 11 o’clock position to strike Unit 2’s 5 o’clock position in the roadway, which was Unit 1 and Unit 2’s point of initial impact. Unit 1 then veered to the north shoulder of the roadway, coming to final rest. Unit 2 was then pushed to the northern shoulder of the road. Unit 2’s 12 o’clock position then struck the 6 o’clock position of Unit 3, a 2018 Nissan Rogue, driven by Operator 3, an Akron female, which was Unit 2’s position of final rest and Unit 3’s point of initial impact and position of final rest. Unit 1 required towing. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 3 was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1, Operator 2, and Operator 3 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.
Myerstown Borough
Corruption Of Minors – On June 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m., PSP Jonestown received two Childline reports of suspected child abuse and neglect in reference to a 14 year old female who was offered medical marijuana by her mother and father and had used the medical marijuana after being provided it by her father. This incident occurred on the 700 block of South Railroad St. This incident is currently under investigation. The Victim was a 14 year old Myerstown female.
Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 3, 2021 at 11:47 a.m., this collision occurred as Unit 1, a 2020 Peterbilt Truck Tractor, driven by Operator 1, a 44 year old Trenton, GA man, was stopped on Stover Ave. at a stop sign for South College St. and Unit 2, a 2015 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Operator 2, a 38 year old Myerstown woman, was behind Unit 1 stopped. Operator 1 backed Unit 1 into Unit 2. Both vehicles came to final rest on Stover Ave., facing east. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Stop Signs and Yield Signs.
Swatara Township
PFA Violation – On Aug. 3, 2021 at 12:51 p.m., members of PSP Jonestown responded to Mountville Dr. for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival on scene, the Arrestee was found to be in violation of an active Protection From Abuse (PFA) order. The Arrestee was James Carter, a 66 year old Lebanon man. The Victim was a 64 year old Finksburg, MD woman.
Drug Sale – On July 23, 2021 at 2:40 a.m., troopers conducted a traffic stop on the 00 block of I 78 East after observing a vehicle code violation. Indicators of criminal activity were detected and a search warrant was executed on the above-listed vehicle. A large quantity of drugs, currency, and related paraphernalia were seized. Charges have been filed. The Arrestee was Joshua Neves, a 27 year old Pawtucket, RI man. The vehicles involved included a 2020 Kia Optima.
Union Township
Vehicle Accident – On July 25, 2021 at 5:18 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 72 at its intersection with Everest Ln. in Union Twp. This was a two-vehicle crash that occurred as Unit 1, a 2005 Subaru Legacy, driven by Operator 1, an 18 year old Pine Grove woman, was stopped at a stop sign on Everest Ln. at its intersection with SR 72. Unit 2, a 2010 Ford F-150XLT, driven by Operator 2, a 59 year old Fredericksburg man, was traveling south on SR 72 nearing the intersection with Everest Ln. Unit 1 began to drive across SR 72, attempting to enter the parking lot of the Speedway Gas Station. Unit 1 entered the roadway without yielding to oncoming traffic and was struck by Unit 2 in its driver’s side rear quarter panel. Unit 1 rotated multiple times before coming to final rest on the northbound shoulder of SR 72. Unit 2 drove approximately 20 yards before coming to final rest on the northbound shoulder as well. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Neither Operator 1 nor Operator 2 sustained any injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed by a personal tow. Unit 2 was towed by Joe May’s Towing. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Fire. Operator 1 was cited for Stop Signs and Yield Signs.
Identity Theft – On Aug. 6, 2021 at 11:05 a.m., the Victim traveled to PSP Jonestown Station and wished to speak with a trooper regarding identity theft. It was determined that an unknown Actor(s) opened a credit card in the Victim’s name. This investigation is ongoing. The Victim was a 56 year old Grantville woman.
Drug Possession – On Aug. 5, 2021 at 12:11 a.m., on the 00 block of I 78 West, a traffic stop conducted by members of PSP Jonestown found the vehicle Operator to be under the influence of controlled substances. A search of the vehicle yielded the seizure of illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia. The Arrestee was a 56 year old Wallington, NJ man. The vehicles involved included a 2018 Freightliner Corp.

Identity Theft – On July 20, 2021, the Victim contacted PSP Jonestown to report that his identity was used to file a fraudulent unemployment claim. The Victim related that on July 16, 2021, he was contacted via email by his HR department at the PA Turnpike Commission that an unemployment claim was filed using his personal identifying information. The Victim related that his HR department denied the claim immediately and he did not suffer any monetary loss. The Victim related that he was going to process a claim through the PA Department of Labor and Industry. The Victim was provided a Victim/Witness Assistance Guide. All information should be forwarded to Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Department of Labor.
Death Natural – On July 23, 2021, PSP Jonestown troopers responded to a location for a death investigation. Upon investigating the scene, no suspicious activity was observed, and it was ruled that the Victim died due to natural causes.
Fraud – On July 23, 2021, PSP Jonestown troopers began investigating an incident involving the Victim being scammed out of money after providing his bank account information to an unknown Actor(s).
Dog Law Violation – On July 21, 2021, troopers responded to a location for a dog law violation. This investigation was subsequently turned over to the dog warden.
Inactive Domestic – On July 26, 2021, troopers responded to a location for an inactive domestic. The Victim reported that the Arrestee slapped his face, spit in his face, and threw chip dip on the side of his face. The Actor was charged appropriately for this incident.
Active Domestic – On July 29, 2021, troopers responded to a location for an active domestic. It was determined that a juvenile male had engaged in a physical altercation with his juvenile brother and father. During the altercation, the juvenile male grabbed a knife and threatened to stab his father. Appropriate charges have been filed.
