Millcreek Township

Indecent Assault – On Aug. 12, 2021 at 7:45 a.m., this incident occurred on East Main St. as the Victim was sexually assaulted by her neighbor and sister. The Victim was a 9 year old Newmanstown juvenile female.

Myerstown Borough

Theft Items From Motor Vehicles – In the commission of this crime, four unknown Actors entered two vehicles parked behind the 00 block of West Main Ave. in Myerstown Boro. The incident occurred on Aug. 5, 2021 sometime between 3:09 a.m. and 3:19 a.m. The two vehicles that were entered were left unlocked. The Actors removed approximately $5.00 in change and the insurance/registration documents from one vehicle and took nothing from the other. The unknown Actors fled the scene on foot and bicycles, heading north toward West Washington Ave. It was later determined through video surveillance that the same group of unknown Actors attempted to enter a vehicle on the 400 block of South Cherry St. in Myerstown Boro. Anyone with any information regarding this investigation or who has experienced a similar issue during this timeframe is asked to contact PSP Jonestown at 717-865-2194 and reference incident number PA2021-1090974. The Victims were a 64 year old Myerstown man, a 72 year old Lebanon woman, and a 59 year old Myerstown man. The theft from motor vehicles involved a 2008 Dodge Caravan and a 2013 Lincoln-Continental Town Car.

Theft – On Aug. 11, 2021 at 1:22 p.m., PSP Jonestown received a call in regards to checks which were taken from a business owner on West Main Ave. in Myerstown Boro. These checks were then cashed by a possible Suspect. This case is pending further investigation at this time. The Victim was a 60 year old Lebanon woman. The stolen property included Check, valued at $800.00, and Check, valued at $800.00.

Swatara Township

PFA Violation – On Aug. 15, 2021 at approximately 8:05 a.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown responded to the 100 block of Moore Rd. in Swatara Twp. for an individual in violation of a PFA. Upon arrival, troopers located and identified the individual at the Victim’s residence. The individual was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Contempt for violation of the order. All charges were filed within MDJ 52-3-03. The Arrestee was a 35 year old Lebanon woman. The Victim was a 71 year old Lebanon woman.

Drug Possession – On Aug. 15, 2021 at 11:36 a.m., troopers from PSP Jonestown responded to Darkes Rd. and Lickdale Rd. for a landlord/tenant dispute. Upon arrival, it was determined that the Suspect had an active arrest warrant. The Suspect was later found to be in possession of drugs and related paraphernalia. Charges are pending.

Terroristic Threats – On Aug. 13, 2021 at 10:02 a.m., State Police responded to a disturbance at Quarry Rd. in which the Arrestee was making threats towards the Victim. Through investigation, it was determined that the Arrestee made a threat to shoot the Victim. The Victim confirmed that the Arrestee did possess a firearm. The Arrestee was discovered to have prior felony convictions and was determined to be a person not to possess. A search warrant for the residence was applied for and granted. A rifle, ammunition, methamphetamine, and paraphernalia were seized. The Arrestee was taken into custody and charges were prepared for Terroristic Threats, Possession of Firearm Prohibited, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The Arrestee was subsequently transported to the Lebanon County Central Booking to await preliminary arraignment. The Arrestee was Christopher Meily, a 36 year old Jonestown man. The Victim was a 35 year old Lebanon woman.

DUI – On Aug. 14, 2021 at 9:53 p.m., this incident occurred on South Mill St. In the commission of this crime, the Arrestee crashed her vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. The Arrestee was a 23 year old Lebanon woman. The Victim was a 32 year old Jonestown man. The vehicles involved included a 2018 Miniscooter and a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta.

Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 14, 2021 at 9:53 p.m., this crash occurred on South Mill St. in front of house 306 in Swatara Twp. Unit 1, a 2018 Mini Cooper, driven by Operator 1, Sierra Gleim, a 23 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling northbound on South Mill St. Unit 2, a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Operator 2, was legally parked, facing north on the northbound shoulder/curb of South Mill St. Unit 1’s right front corner struck Unit 2’s left rear quarter panel and left rear wheel. After initial impact, Unit 1 rolled over onto its roof and came to final rest, facing northwest in the northbound lane of South Mill St. Operator 1 was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Operator 1 was transported via First Aid and Safety Patrol of Lebanon to the Hershey Medical Center for evaluation and a legal blood draw. Charges are pending blood test results. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Drug Possession – On Aug. 15, 2021 at 6:40 p.m., PSP Jonestown conducted a traffic stop on SR 72 and SR 72 North. The Operator of the vehicle was found to be in possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia. Charges are to be filed. The vehicles involved included a 2006 Honda Accord Crosstour.

Union Township

Assault Bodily Injury No Weapon – On Aug. 12, 2021 at 1:52 p.m., troopers responded to Hemlock Hill Ln. for a report of a physical altercation between brothers. Upon arrival, interviews were conducted, and the investigation revealed that the brothers were involved in a physical altercation. The investigation determined that the Arrestee entered the residence and began questioning the Victim, regarding a light. The Victim stood up from the living room couch, and a physical altercation ensued. The Victim sustained a laceration above his right eye as a result of the altercation. The Arrestee was taken into custody for Simple Assault and transported to the Lebanon County Central Booking, along with charges. The Victim was a 31 year old Jonestown man. The Arrestee was a 31 year old Jonestown man.

DUI – On Aug. 15, 2021 at 2:56 a.m., on the 900 block of I 81 South, a traffic stop was conducted on a 2004 Toyota Matrix, after observing it having difficulty maintaining its lane of travel as well as having difficulty maintaining proper speed. Upon making contact with the Operator, open liquor bottles were observed inside of the vehicle and the Operator was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. The Operator was unable to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. The Operator was transported to the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon for a blood test. Charges are pending blood test results. The Operator/Arrestee was a 47 year old Columbia woman. The vehicles involved included a 2004 Toyota Matrix.

Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 17, 2021 at 3:06 p.m., this multi-vehicle crash occurred on I 81 Southbound near mile marker 87.4 in Union Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2021 Freightliner M2 106, driven by Operator 1, a 35 year old Phila man, was traveling in the lefthand lane of I 81 Southbound. Unit 1 began to slow due to slowing traffic ahead due to heavy rain. As Unit 1 slowed, it sideswiped Unit 2, a 2016 Ford Explorer, driven by Operator 2, a 68 year old Mechanicsburg man, sideswiped Unit 6, a 2015 Dodge Caravan, driven by Operator 6, a 41 year old Chester man, struck Unit 3, a 2021 Freightliner Truck, driven by Operator 3, a 55 year old Hughestown man, at its 6 o’clock position, and struck Unit 4, a 2008 Chevrolet Express, driven by Operator 4, a 41 year old Camp Hill man, at its 6 o’clock position. The impact of Unit 1 hitting Unit 4 caused Unit 4 to then impact the 6 o’clock position of Unit 5, a 2017 Western Star 5700, driven by Operator 5, a 44 year old Orlando, FL man.

Operator 1, Operator 2, Operator 3, Operator 4, Operator 5, and Operator 6 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion to the Hershey Medical Center. None of the other Operators reported any injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 1 and Unit 2 were towed from the scene. PennDOT Hazmat responded on scene due to a spilled oily substance on the roadway. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Life Lion EMS, Central Medical EMS, Fleet Services Towing, Porrini’s Towing, and PennDOT, and Northern Lebanon Fire Services.

Vehicle Accident – On Aug. 17, 2021 at 3:06 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2003 Peterbilt 379, driven by Operator 1, a 39 year old Dearborn, MI man, was traveling southbound on I 81. While traveling southbound on I 81, Operator 1 witnessed multiple vehicles crash approximately 100 yards ahead of him, which abruptly slowed/stopped traffic. While traffic was slowing/stopping in front of Unit 1, Unit 1 veered off of the roadway to avoid impact, rolled onto its driver’s side, and slid into the median along the left side of the roadway. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained possible injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Life Lion. Operator 1 was cited for Accidents Involving Overturned Vehicles.
