CCHS Today Livestream Team thrives with help from local business sponsors

The CCHS Today Livestream Team gives Cedar Crest High School students the opportunity to produce professional-quality live broadcasts for the Cornwall-Lebanon School District community.

Through real-world experience in sports broadcasting, students take on every aspect of a live production, including camera operation, graphics, audio, commentary, advertising, directing, and overall production management.

Every broadcast is planned, produced, and executed entirely by the students of CCHS Today, providing them with invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Throughout the school year, these students do far more than livestream athletic contests and other major district events. They also produce a daily news broadcast every school day for Cedar Crest High School, a podcast, a weekly vertical news show, a monthly community feature program, and a seasonal sports recap show.

This extensive production schedule allows students to develop and refine their skills throughout the year, ensuring they arrive at each livestream with the confidence and experience needed to deliver a professional broadcast.

The impact of the program extends far beyond high school. Many CCHS Today alumni have pursued careers in sports broadcasting and media production, crediting their livestream experience as the foundation for their success. Today, former students are working and studying in some of the nation’s largest sports markets, applying the skills they first developed on the Cedar Crest campus.
