Bethel Township

Drug Possession – On Aug. 28, 2021 at 3:53 a.m., this crime occurred on I 78 East as the Suspect crashed a vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. The Arrestees were a 19 year old Reading man and a 20 year old Reading man. The vehicles involved included a 2012 Acura TL.

Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 26, 2021 at 5:46 p.m., this two-vehicle reportable crash occurred on Fredericksburg Rd. approximately 100 yards south of its intersection with Chestnut Hill Rd. in Bethel Twp. Unit 1, a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by Operator 1, Dennis Gravley, a 26 year old Lebanon man, was traveling north on Fredericksburg Rd., preparing to turn left (west) into a private parking lot. Unit 2, a 2013 Dodge Challenger, driven by Operator 2, Ethan Behrens, a 20 year old Jonestown man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 16 year old Jonestown male, was traveling south on Fredericksburg Rd. Unit 1 turned into Unit 2. Unit 1 came to final rest at the position of impact. Unit 2 came to final rest in a grass median off of the west shoulder of Frederickburg Rd. Unit 1 sustained minor damage as a result of this crash and was driven from the scene by Operator 1. Unit 2 sustained disabling damage as a result of this crash and was towed from the scene by Blatt and Tillet. Operator 1, Operator 2, and Passenger 1 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1, Operator 2, and Passenger 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Vehicle Turning Left.

Public Drunkenness – On Sept. 9, 2021 at 1:11 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to North Pine Grove St. for a report of a suspicious person. Through investigation, it was determined that the Arrestee trespassed onto the property located at the above-listed address. The Arrestee was taken into custody where charges were prepared. The Arrestee was then transported to Lebanon County Central Booking. The Arrestee was a 22 year old Lebanon man. The Victim was Safeguard Properties in Valley View, OH.

Theft By Deception – Sometime between May 17, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. and Sept. 9, 2021 at 12:09 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Morrissey Dr. for a report of a theft. Through investigation, it was determined that the Victim was scammed into transferring $15,000.00 to an unknown Suspect(s). Investigation is ongoing. The Victim was a 39 year old Lebanon woman. The stolen property included U.S. Currency, valued at $15,000.00.

DUI Crash – On Sept. 16, 2021 at 3:47 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to West Main St. for a report of a vehicle crash. During the investigation, Operator 1 exhibited multiple signs of impairment. Operator 1 was subsequently taken into custody. PSP is investigating.

Cleona Borough

PFA Violation – On Sept. 6, 2021, the Actor in this investigation sent several text messages to his estranged wife, in direct violation of a court-ordered PFA. The Actor was taken into custody and transported to Lebanon County Central Booking. The Victim was a 37 year old Cleona woman. The Arrestee was a 43 year old Annville man.

East Hanover Township

Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 22, 2021 at 3:08 p.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2013 Ford Focus, driven by Operator 1, Joseph English, a 55 year old Muir man, was traveling westbound in the lefthand travel lane on Allentown Blvd. Unit 1’s tires lost contact with the wet road surface, causing Operator 1 to lose control of Unit 1. Unit 1 veered into the righthand travel lane and exited the roadway from the south shoulder, where it hit a guiderail. Upon impact, Unit 1 continued in a west direction in the south shoulder, before coming to its position of final rest, partially on the south shoulder. Unit 1 sustained damage to the front-end and the passenger’s side. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. No airbags were deployed as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Joe May’s Towing. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.

Heidelberg Township

Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 22, 2021 at 5:25 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 897, just east of its intersection with Horse Happy Rd. in Heidelberg Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2006 Nissan X-Terra, driven by Operator 2, a 17 year old Myerstown female, was traveling west at this location, attempting to negotiate a left turn into a private driveway. Unit 1, a 2018 Ford Escape, driven by Operator 1, Daryl Balmer, a 56 year old Lebanon man, approached Unit 2 from the rear and subsequently struck Unit 2. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Operator 2 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Following Too Closely.

Jackson Township

Disorderly Conduct – On Aug. 29, 2021 at 8:09 p.m., this incident occurred on North Ramona Rd. In the commission of this crime, the Arrestee did not have his dog on a leash. The Victim was a 71 year old Myerstown man. The Arrestee was a 52 year old Myerstown man.

Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 22, 2021 at 7:49 p.m., this crash occurred on SR 422, just west of its intersection with North Locust St. in Jackson Twp. Unit 1, a 2016 Toyota RAV4, driven by Operator 1, Benita Calero Huertas, a 70 year old Myerstown woman, was traveling west on SR 422 at this location, without its headlights activated. Unit 2, a 2021 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Operator 2, approached this location, attempting to negotiate a lefthand turn at this location, and subsequently struck Unit 1. Operator 1 was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash and was transported via Myerstown First Aid Unit to Reading Hospital. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Myerstown EMS, Keystone Fire Company, and CJ Wagner’s Towing. Operator 1 was cited for Periods For Requiring Lighted Lamps.

Identity Theft – On Sept. 9, 2021 at 8:56 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the 100 block of Quarry Dr. for a report of a theft. It was determined that an unemployment claim was opened utilizing the Victim’s personal information. The Victim did not sustain any financial loss. The PA Department of Labor and Industry was notified of this incident. The Victim was a 58 year old Myerstown woman. The stolen property included the Victim’s Identity, valued at $0.00.

Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 21, 2021 at 9:21 a.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2011 Buick Enclave, driven by Operator 1, Larry Albright, a 79 year old Myerstown man, was traveling south on SR 645, north of its intersection with West McKinley Ave. in Jackson Twp. As Unit 1 was traveling south, Unit 1 traveled across the northbound lane, exiting the right side of the roadway, and subsequently hitting a MetEd utility pole. The MetEd utility pole was completely smashed, causing this portion of SR 645 to be closed. Unit 1 sustained impact damage as a result. Unit 1’s frontal portion was smashed. Unit 1’s front airbag was deployed. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 was transported via First Aid Safety and Patrol EMS to the Hershey Medical Center for suspected minor injuries. Unit 1 was towed by CJ Wagner’s Towing. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Keystone Fire Department. This portion of SR 645 reopened at approximately 10:31 a.m. Operator 1 was cited for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.

Identity Theft – On Sept. 9, 2021 at 10:41 a.m., this incident occurred as the Victim was notified via email that an unknown Actor(s) made a fraudulent unemployment compensation claim in her name using her personal information (name, date of birth, SSN, etc.). According to the Victim, she received no financial loss due to this incident. The Victim was advised to file an Identity Theft report through the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industries as required. The Victim was further advised to obtain a copy of her credit report as well as a record of her bank accounts to determine if there were any discrepancies. On Sept. 9, 2021, all information regarding this incident was forwarded to Agent Syreeta Scott of the U.S. Office of Inspector General – Department of Labor via email. The Victim was an 80 year old Myerstown woman. The stolen property included Personal Identity Information (PII), valued at $0.00.

Jonestown Borough

Theft Of Vehicle Parts – Sometime between Sept. 8, 2021 at 8:15 p.m. and Sept. 9, 2021 at 11:25 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the 200 block of South Broad St. for a report of a theft. An unknown Suspect(s) stole the Victim’s exhaust tip from his personal vehicle then left by unknown means in an unknown direction. Investigation is ongoing. The Victim was an 18 year old Jonestown man. The stolen property included a Rhino Exhaust Tip, valued at $50.00. The vehicles involved included a 2012 Ford Focus.

Myerstown Borough

Burglary Residential No Force – On Aug. 29, 2021 at 6:54 p.m., this incident occurred on West Washington Ave. In the commission of this crime, the Suspects entered a vacant apartment and damaged the walls. The Victim was Washington Apartments in Myerstown Boro. The damaged property included Drywall, valued at $50.00. The stolen property included Drywall, valued at $50.00.

Richland Borough

Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 22, 2021 at 5:36 a.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred on South Race St. in front of the residence located on the 100 block of South Race St. in Richland Boro. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander, driven by Operator 1, Taneesha Evans, a 27 year old Richland woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 5 year old Richland female, was traveling south on South Race St. and began reaching back to her daughter in the rear of Unit 1, when Unit 1 left the right side of the roadway and struck a parked vehicle. Unit 1 overturned onto its roof and struck another parked vehicle, before coming to final rest in the middle of South Race St. on its roof. Operator 1 was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Passenger 1 was using a front facing child safety seat at the time of the crash. Operator 1 sustained suspected minor injuries, as scratches to her knee, as a result of this crash but refused transport. Passenger 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by CJ Wagner’s Towing Company. The other vehicles involved included Unit 2, a 2015 Scion FRS, driven by Operator 2, and Unit 3, a 2015 Subaru SVX, driven by Operator 3. Operator 1 was cited for Careless Driving.

Theft Items From Motor Vehicle – Sometime between Sept. 26, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. and Sept. 27, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., this incident occurred on Elm St. In the commission of this crime, an unknown Actor(s) entered the Victim’s unlocked truck through the driver’s door. The unknown Actor(s) removed a silver Ruger SP101 .357mag revolver from the center console. The Actor(s) took nothing else. The unknown Actor(s) fled in an unknown direction by unknown means. The Victim was a 23 year old Richland man. The stolen property included a Sturm, Ruger and Company, Inc. a.k.a. Ruger Southport, CT SP101 Silver With Black Handle/Was Loaded/Black Leather Holster. The vehicles involved included a 2020 Ram Truck.

Criminal Mischief Under $1,000 – On Sept. 30, 2021, troopers from PSP Jonestown responded to the 200 block of East Main St. in Richland Boro. for a criminal mischief complaint. A nontraffic citation N0046940-5 was filed on the Arrestee for Criminal Mischief at Magisterial District Court 52-3-01. The Victim was a 44 year old Richland man. The Arrestee was Amy Felty, a 42 year old Richland woman. The damaged property included a Dyson, valued at $268.00.

Swatara Township

Drug Possession – On Sept. 30, 2021 at 12:15 p.m., PSP Jonestown initiated a traffic stop on I 78 West for a traffic violation. The Operator was in possession of a controlled substance. Charges are pending. The vehicles involved included a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder Armada.

Identity Theft – On Sept. 12, 2021 sometime between 12:00 a.m. and 11:59 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the 200 block of Swatara Cir. in Swatara Twp. for a report of a theft. It was determined that a fraudulent unemployment claim was opened utilizing the Victim’s personal information. The Victim did not sustain any financial loss as a result. The Department of Labor and Industry was notified of the incident. The Victim was a 52 year old Jonestown woman. The stolen property included the Victim’s Social Security Number, valued at $0.00.

Drug Possession – On Sept. 3, 2021 at 5:20 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted on I 78 West at mile marker 2.5 on a vehicle traveling at 104 mph. As a result of the stop, a small amount of marijuana was seized. The criminal complainant is to be filed with MDJ 52-3-03. The Arrestee was Ivan Cuesta, a 20 year old Bronx, NY man. The vehicles involved included a 2007 Infiniti G35.

Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 10, 2021 at 8:36 a.m., this hit-and-run crash occurred in the front of the residence located on the 200 block of Irene Dr. in Swatara Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 2, a 2008 Toyota Sequoia, was parked off of the right shoulder, facing west on Irene Dr. in front of the above-listed residence. Unit 2 was struck by Unit 1, an unknown make and model, driven by Operator 1, by an unknown means between the hours of 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 9, 2021 and 8:30 a.m. on Sept 10, 2021. Unit 1 fled the scene and was unable to be located. Charges for Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic for Operator 1 are pending investigation. It is unknown whether, and how severely, Operator 1 was injured as a result of this crash.

Theft From Building – On Sept. 8, 2021 at approximately 8:16 p.m., PSP Jonestown responded to the 2,000 block of SR 72 North in Swatara Twp. after the Victim contacted PSP Jonestown after he noticed several tools were stolen from the residence that he is remodeling. PSP Jonestown is investigating.

Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 8, 2021 at 5:52 p.m., this three-vehicle crash occurred on SR 72 at its intersection with New Bunkerhill Rd. in Swatara Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2005 Ford Focus, driven by Operator 1, Betty Leininger, a 78 year old Annville woman, was traveling eastbound across SR 72 from Thompson Ave. to continue onto New Bunkerhill Rd. without properly clearing the roadway, when Unit 2, a 2004 Dodge Stratus, driven by Operator 2, Lisa Patrick, a 54 year old Lebanon woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, Ricci Cunkle, a 58 year old Jonestown man, was traveling northbound on SR 72 struck Unit 1 as it was crossing the intersection. Operator 2 subsequently lost control of Unit 2, which subsequently struck the front-end of Unit 3, a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, driven by Operator 3, Timothy Daubert, a 40 year old Jonestown man, accompanied by Passenger 2, Heather Garner, a 44 year old Jonestown woman, which was stopped at the stop sign located at the above-listed intersection. Operator 1 subsequently lost control of Unit 1, which subsequently struck the stop sign at the above-listed intersection. Unit 1 and Unit 2 were towed from the scene by Joe May’s Towing Company due to sustaining disabling front-end damage. Unit 3 was driven away from the scene. Operator 1, Operator 3, and Passenger 2 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 2 and Passenger 1 were not wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1, Operator 2, Passenger 1, and Operator 3 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Passenger 2 was transported via Life Lion EMS to the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment of suspected minor injuries, such as neck pain, sustained as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Stop Signs and Yield Signs. Operator 2 was cited for Restraint Systems.

Union Township

DUI Crash – On Sept. 28, 2021 at 10:20 p.m., this incident occurred on Allentown Blvd. and SR 72. In the commission of this crime, the Arrestee crashed his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. The Arrestee was a 27 year old Lebanon man. The vehicles involved included a 2020 Chevrolet Spark.

Drug Possession – On Sept. 24, 2021 at 11:30 a.m., PSP Jonestown responded to Old Forge Rd. for a report of security finding marijuana in the possession of one of their employees. PSP Jonestown is investigating.

Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 7, 2021 at 11:24 a.m., this crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2014 Hyundai Elantra, driven by Operator 1, Gloriane Ramos Aviles, a 23 year old Lebanon woman, was traveling eastbound on Fisher Ave., nearing its intersection with SR 72. Unit 2, a 2007 Ford Focus, driven by Operator 2, Samantha Homan, a 24 year old Wernersville woman, accompanied by Passenger 1, Sara Zinsky, a 20 year old Jonestown woman, was traveling west on Lickdale Rd., nearing its intersection with SR 72. Operator 1 proceeded to make a lefthand turn without clearance, and directly into the path of oncoming Unit 2, where impact occurred between the passenger’s side of Unit 1 and the front-end of Unit 2. Operator 1, Operator 2, and Passenger 1 were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Operator 1 and Passenger 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 2 sustained suspected minor injuries as a result of this crash, was evaluated by medical personnel on scene, and was transported via Life Lion EMS to the Hershey Medical Center for further evaluation. Unit 1 and Unit 2 were towed from the scene by Joe May’s Towing. PSP Jonestown was assisted on scene by Trooper Price, Trooper Gutsie, Life Lion Ambulance, Northern Lebanon Fire Department, and Joe May’s Towing. Operator 1 was cited for Vehicle Turning Left.

Harassment – On Sept. 27, 2021, troopers of PSP Jonestown responded to Mastronardi Produce USE on Old Forge Rd. in Union Twp. for a harassment complaint. Troopers found that the Arrestee left several voicemails that contained inappropriate language. Charges for Harassment were filed with Magisterial District Court 52-3-03. The Victim was a 27 year old Lebanon woman. The Arrestee was Tanner Snell, a 25 year old Jonestown man.

Vehicle Accident – On Sept. 26, 2021 at 11:47 a.m., this single-vehicle crash occurred on Old Forge Rd. in Union Twp. This crash occurred as Unit 1, a 2012 Ford Focus, driven by Operator 1, Damien Fiore, an 18 year old Jonestown man, was traveling south approximately .5 miles from its intersection with Penny Ln. This crash occurred as Operator 1 was attempting to negotiate a lefthand curve at an unsafe speed when Operator 1 left the right side of the roadway. Operator 1 began losing further control of Unit 1, which then struck a tree off of the shoulder on the westbound side of Old Forge Rd. Unit 1 sustained disabling rear passenger’s side damage to its rear fender and tire from striking the tree. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Doug’s Towing Company. Operator 1 was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. Operator 1 did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. Operator 1 was cited for Driving Vehicle at Safe Speed.
